This is a discussion thread about Marijuana, Cannabis, Weed, Dank, 420, Pot. It is currently legal in a few states, though they are regulating the usage of it.
contrary to popular belief, weed doesnt cause cancer, it's like alcohol, impairs your motor skills. that's about it.
I figure you young kids will be eventually come into contact with it once you hit your college/high school years, and it would be good to dispel some wrong and wayward thinking brought on by the government.

Weed is legal in a couple of states, cali, colorado. up in Canada, Vancouver has legalized weed. Amsterdam too.
It's a great experience really, not advocating you should try it, since it is also quite the expensive plant (prices are artificially inflated in legalized areas also for government control purposes)
I agree with DDX & Klaus, using cracked ice in the bong is so nice. By the way, add a shot of vodka with the ice and ka-boom!
I've done the ice thing (actually we used snow which works AWESOME!), but I've never heard of the vodka thing...

Also, I agree that you shouldn't mix alcohol and pot until you've had experience with one or the other. Especially don't drive. Funny story: Back when I was still a bit of a novice smoker, my mom made me go to this party with her to be her designated driver, which I took for granted. I had a few rum and cokes and a couple shots. Then a i took a few hits from a bong and a joint... later I had to drive my parents home. It was rather hard because I was wasted and stoned. They didn't notice though. =] My point is it could've been really dangerous, so you shouldn't.

Yeah, i agree. I usually only get drunk with 6-7 shots, but with only 2 shots, that day i got completely wasted.

well hypothetically I could be in colorado... with a doctor's note, I could technically be legal, of course this is all in speculation

Yep. and it doesn't have to be chopped ice you put in the bong water, just throw cubes in till it's at the spot you wanna fill it to, and then fill it with water like regular.

some bongs have like little ledges that stop the ice from falling into the water, it's quite lovely.

also for people who smoke daily (I know some of you do) and you build up a resistance against the weed. I suggest either taking a 5 day break and then smoking, because the effects will be greater and also you will end up saving a lot of money (if you buy yourself) (or time if you grow yourself) (and less STIs if you do "favors" for weed)
if you don't want to, then try doing a honey bud, which incorporates 2 different strains (preferred mix of indica and sativa strains) then drizzle hash oil over it, light up and feel the strong punch of THC hitting your brain.
