This isn't a bashing any certain genre or group of people that like certain genres. However, I've noticed that certain fans act in certain ways. More often, people who listen to genres of punk, ska, classic rock, and stuff like that tend to forum post in rational complete sentences with correct spelling. On the other hand, people who listen to newer music tend to... usoboifiyah- can n e1 tell me why this old ass crip usin red lol. kool song tho 18 minutes ago
Why is this? Is it as simple as those who listen to the former are older? I thought so too, but I've noticed it in younger people too.
If you look at youtube videos, this is especially prominent. Post your thoughts.
idk why. probably because i text to much and im in chat rooms alot soooo..... thats why i do it. (i listen to everything so dont judge me ) but im 15 so i dont care im not getting a grade on my AG forum posts so ill be fine
I like this OP observation too. I'm old school, so jazz, blues, southern rock, classic rock, even classical music suits me fine. I really love to hear the Mississippi Mass choir sing, check out this kid sing, "His Eye is on the Sparrow
I would think, though that people tend to write the way they talk. So, like Delos above noted, he's in chat rooms and texting a lot. Those folks don't use capitals. I can go either way but I learned how to type before I owned a computer so as long as my fingers are on the right keys, my spelling is fair.
I've noticed that metal fans will get really offended if anyone ever says anything bad about their favorite genre.
No, we get offended when a pretentious fool comments on how all metal is just screaming and loud guitars played constantly. If you have any brains at all you would understand why that would anger someone, since a statement like that is quite literally nothing but sweeping generalizations and unfounded stereotypes.
If you actually dislike Bruce Dickinson's vocals or Mustaine's guitar solos, that's fine with me, because in that case I can brush you off with a simple "Fuck you!" and be off.
I pride myself in not typing like a braindead monkey.
I hate metal.
Coincidence? I think not.
I pride myself in not typing like a braindead monkey.
I love metal and listen to the most extreme and underground forms of it.
The reason people who listen to more diverse and unknown genres of music also type better and are more intelligent is because people who listen to more intelligent music are people who are intelligent themselves.
Alright, let's put it this way. If you were African-American and a person said to you that all black people were grape-soda drinking scum who can't speak English properly, wouldn't you get mad? Or if you were Christian and someone said to you that all Christians are child-molesting liars? The list goes on and on. Generalizations and stereotypes are what incite anger in people.

Lol it's funny how you act like heavy metal is a race.

I'm assuming you either skipped over half of my post or you think Christianity is also race.
Also, race, religion, nationality and any number of peoples' attributes are things that they feel strongly about. If I feel strongly about heavy meal (I do) I have just as much right to get mad when someone stereotypes it and acts like an ignorant cock about it.
And yes KnockoutSloth, I realize that it might look like I'm trying to be mean, but trust me I'm not.
I'm assuming you either skipped over half of my post or you think Christianity is also race.
nah. I found it more funny that you compared heavy metal to your race. because you know... it's kind of... completely different. Really, I don't have to refute with anything, because you already made my statement true.

Completely different? Explain to me how it's different in the context of stereotyping.
And now (unsurprisingly) you're dodging arguments. Even funnier, you never even insulted my favorite genre, which was your whole point. Which (again) just proves that I'm correct: we have no problems with no liking metal, we have problems with people being idiots.
