This isn't a bashing any certain genre or group of people that like certain genres. However, I've noticed that certain fans act in certain ways. More often, people who listen to genres of punk, ska, classic rock, and stuff like that tend to forum post in rational complete sentences with correct spelling. On the other hand, people who listen to newer music tend to...
usoboifiyah- can n e1 tell me why this old ass crip usin red lol. kool song tho 18 minutes ago

Why is this? Is it as simple as those who listen to the former are older? I thought so too, but I've noticed it in younger people too.

If you look at youtube videos, this is especially prominent. Post your thoughts.

Could it at all be possibly for you to not have petty little arguments and instead make it a proper discussion? The difference here being less implicit laughing at each other, less implied, and directly calling each other idiots, and perhaps an understanding that this is the internet, and whatever you say won't change a thing, because people are stubborn and unable to listen with an open mind, because that is how they are?

Also, topic:
No, I haven't noticed that, but I guess it is a matter of being observant and possibly be a place where a large concentration of a certain kind of fans are. Generalizing is often just about remembering certain episodes over others and focus on one of the groups that yell the loudest, like it is with any other situation.

Your "claim" has nothing to do with why I even argued with you in the first place.

you sure? you might wanna look back.

No, we get offended when a pretentious fool comments on how all metal is just screaming and loud guitars played constantly. If you have any brains at all you would understand why that would anger someone, since a statement like that is quite literally nothing but sweeping generalizations and unfounded stereotypes.

If you actually dislike Bruce Dickinson's vocals or Mustaine's guitar solos, that's fine with me, because in that case I can brush you off with a simple "**** you!" and be off.[/quote]

You are continuing an unnecessary and offtopic argument for no reason. Please stop now that he has apologized.

I noticed us U2 fans are totally awesome...kidding. Have any of you noticed the people that listen to that popular crap music only know nothing about other music at all? I know a few people like that who don't know who The Beatles are...I mean seriously. How do you not know The Beatles?!

Do you listen to like Kanye West ad Ke$ha?

( Sorry, took me awhile to get back to you ).

Haha, well, no. I don't like them. Actually, you chose the exact people who I dislike the most, just becaseu fo their songs, not them.

But yeah, in that category.

I notice that a lot too. A lot of the people that listen to rap and sub-genres of pop are normally the people that are incredibly popular. In the modern internet speaking like a retard makes you awesome and ranting with caps lock is undoubtedly the cruise control to cool.

I listen to metal and the 20th-century-sort-of-blues (pretty big contrast but they're my two favourite genres) and I think I type pretty well.

I've noticed that metal fans will get really offended if anyone ever says anything bad about their favorite genre.

That not called offended, that's called defending. Christians will also seem offended when an atheist comes and tells them that Christianity is a lot of bull and should never be believed. I am not saying that a musical genre should be valued and respected as much as an entire religion but I am using it as an analogy that most people will defend the things they like.

Similarly, if you tell someone who listens to rap/pop that Kanye West sucks they'll tell you to go and listen to your screaming emo crap. An 'offended' manner because they're defending the stuff they like.

What kind of music do you listen to?

And there's nothing wrong with rock. Rock is actually good. What I mean is people who dominantly listen to artists like Usher, Kanye, and people like them tend to have worse grammar. Its not as if there aren't exceptions to the rule...

Kanye West is one of the biggest business men in the world, his grammar is above par. I mostly listen to oldies, alternative, and soul music.
