So. Are humans really natural beings of Earth, or are we a colony of a species on a different planet? Did we naturally evolve, or were we genetically engineered? As Crick said, it's more likely that a hurricane blowing through a jungle will make a jumbo jet than that DNA naturally formed in a time frame of 500-600 million years.
You've been playing too many games. But yea, I don't see anything that says we can't be the only life forms in this universe. I just think that the odds of use every meeting and shaking hands (tentacles?) with these beings is where the unlikelyness comes in...
u could shake the tentacle of a squid... as they are another representation of life. last i checked there were vast ecosystems of animals on this planet... We are not alone (0_o)
I'm not really sure how to answer this. I can't really say we are descendants of Aliens. If we are, then Earth would be the planet we are currently looking for (another Earth). And if this is true, then down in the Earth's crust we would find downed spacecrafts, which we have NEVER.
And if we did descend from an alien race, they would have helped us evolve, which is the part I believe in. The only way we learn, without outside influences, is looking at nature its-self. For instance, the birds, and the plane. The Wright Bros. invented, or even had an idea, the plane because of seeing birds fly. But technology, where did we get the idea for computers and such SUDDENED advanced technology? were we given this technology behind closed curtains?
All I can say is that, I believe we were TECHNOLOGICALLY evolved from Aliens, I do not believe we were descendants of aliens.
After watching that special series on Discovery, I am really inclined to believe that we are certainly influenced from some aliens and at the very least, descendants.
Yeah, I saw that too. It's hard not to believe that some hardy bacteria from another planet could of made it to earth and reproduced/evolved. Thought there is no proof to back it up or refute it. Now the question is where be came from. Thought with recent news of one of Saturn's moons possibly having some primitive form of life we might not have to look far.
@asherlee what are your examples? the pyramids were actually tria and error. example: early egyptians built step pyramids similar to thhose of the aztec. not only that, but some *smooth* pyramids have colapsed, and one had to have its angle readjusted mid-construction.
Until there is some form of records that we did come froma descendant of alien species, I cannot believe that we are a colony that was never heard from again.
Besides, if we were a colony and the aliens suddenly lost contact and we had mass amnesia or whatever, they would naturally send a scout party to investigate. Simple logic.

Well there has been millions of U.F.O. sightings, scout party anyone?
The message is everywhere and if u want to use our fossil record thats still just a theory too there is not one human bone in the so called pre hominoid record and they say a missing link which by evolution standards would be unlikely u would need not one but many more to stand right next to it
yall got to remember that it wasnt the mainstream scientist that usually changed the world it was the ppl that thought outside the box and were riduiculed b/c of the closed minded mainstream even eihnstein mentioned a strong possibility of another species seeding us and the truth is too much for most if there was evidence it would be taking look at the precibo message we go a response

Well I don't know who "eihnstein" was, but I am fairly certain Eisenstein, the famous physicist, didn't say anything to that effect.
Actually, many of the advances where by mainstream scientists. Those who where ridiculed where mostly ridiculed by the public, not scientists.
There is a quote I am about to paraphrase "Yes, people laughed at Galileo, but they also laughed at Bozo the clown"

Yes there is, you have no clue that the scientific word "theory" is pretty much fact, there is no missing link. In no particular order.
