So. Are humans really natural beings of Earth, or are we a colony of a species on a different planet? Did we naturally evolve, or were we genetically engineered? As Crick said, it's more likely that a hurricane blowing through a jungle will make a jumbo jet than that DNA naturally formed in a time frame of 500-600 million years.
There is no official model of abiogenesis, Masterforger, but I wouldn't exactly rule it out as complete poppycock. If you knew how certain chemicals worked with others, it's full of merit.
I prefer the term "experiment of life" How is it that we have the perfect conditions for life? We're the exact distance from our sun. We have water. We had a large selection of cells from the start.
I'm pretty sure we've been here. If we were a colony, our technology would probably be superior to that which we have now 400,000 years ago. We would have had to travel to earth somehow. There is also a lot of evidence that we evolved, there are pre-human fossils, not to mention apes. Also, wouldn't we still have some form of contact with our original planet, and isn't there the possibility of other colonizers coming to earth?
The alien species could have sent a lot of single cell organisms to Earth hoping they would survive.
Or a planet could have been hit by a meteor. And life from that planet was shifted onto the meteor which eventually traveled to Earth and crashed.
Don't you think we would have found out by now if there really was something in our genetic code? The only thing we have found in our code up to now it how we work and our evolutionary past.
I think if there are aliens that they're probably not much more advanced then we are. I don't really see a reason why they would be. Some might be less advanced, others a little more advanced, but I doubt one was advanced enough to atart life on earth over 3 billion years ago.
Pastafarianism isn't to be taken seriously, considering what (t)he(y) do(es). It could be that about 600 years ago, we jumped ship from another planet, using basic aircraft, such as space shuttles, and crash landed in the ocean, from where the survivors abaondoned everything and set forth to the land thy could see. Many different spacecraft, many different oceans, the populated the earth, and set up a staged culture, never telling their children the truth. If one found out, he would be killed, or if he found out, and kept it to himself, and told his child, or wrote it down, and hid the tablet, evidence could be found. The child's child's children would pass this information down throug the ages, setting up a cult around it, turning into a religion. After many thousands of years, the story become garbled, and the culture died, and was replaced by another one.... To be continued.
@crazyape You know.. I agree, all of what you just wrote could eventually maybe be right, just as what every other on this thread wrote. But those are only assumptions, that often don't make a lot of sense, often lack of any proof while there being counter-proof, and in science we have the facts that support that we evolved here on earth, so... can you understand why I have a hard time taking any of this serious?
