All rap is is just about ' o i grew up ion hte hood ' when they grew up in an average neighborhood. Guns, drugs, ******s, and shooting ******s with guns for drugs. And TPain uses autotune as a crutch b/c he cant sing for sh*t. Remember : Rap is Crap.

with rock though there is a flaw lol its not the perfect music. you cant dance to rock 99% of the time. you can jam out but you cant truley dance
I mean... at first Rap was good and new, but over the years it turned into the 'same-old-same-old' over and over again... plus, I really hate the 'bling-bling-factor' and the 'bashing' on girls that's currently standard in Rap music... that's just plain dumb! 0_o
As to rock music, that has always been renewing and fresh with every new song coming out! True, there are some repetitive songs in this genre too, but not as boringly awful like in the Rap music genre these days...
So, old style Rap was definitely good, but throughout the whole century... ROCK RULES!!! =P
Ahhh, such a crazy topic of discussion. It really doesn't matter to me. I listen to just about everything. Rap (everything from early rap to new), Rock (everything from classic to heavy metal), country, jazz/blues, r&b...you name it, it's probably on my Ipod. For those of you who say that rap is bad because of the stuff they talk about then you obviously havent heard true rap. Every genre of music has something that is controversial and something that people dont like, rap just throws it out there more than any other. there is a lot of real things being said despite the language, you just have to listen past the profanity.
the only raper that seems to have good lyrics is Eminem.
lol i can name tons of "RAPPERS" that write fantastic lyrics. the thing that bugs me sometimes is that people mistake mainstream pop for rap.
rap and hiphop have MUCH MUCH different lyrics. theres also a difference between writing a rap SONG and freestyleing. its still rap but freestyle is what lilwayne does where he jsut makes stuff up on the spot. eminem can do that to dont get me wrong but he writes more songs then anything. but i could list and list rap songs that you people would consider "good". or also known as white rappers
I like rap but I like rock even better! Eminem is a good artist . I like his song 'Til I Collapse ' which was featured in the Modern Warfare 2 Launch Trailer.

i prefer rock because i can get into it more then i can rap. like i prefer to jam out to rock then dance to rap. you kinda see what im saying. am i making any sence at all lol?
