I am so bored with the Multiplayer now, I got Grandmaster [41] like a week after the game came out, got bored about a week or two after it. I still like to play Uniplayer though, when I see either a prestige system or maybe raise the rank count to 100 [Maybe?]
I'm supposed to be studying for exams, so naturally I got addicted to it. I sign in as myself so this is the only account I've played on, no trainers! While I'm a big proponent of John's "keep it simple" philosophy I do think there's a lot of merit in a GM-only room, as close competition tends to provide the most fun. Then again so do the occasionally funny guys I come across. I quite like the fact I meet more nice guys than jerks.

And as you can see... I use my usual ninja suit colours, which makes it nigh impossible to see myself especially when everybody else uses neon... though there was this one guy who wore all black. I thought he was a newb coz his stats were low then he beat the pants off me and it turned out he was retraining, so I took it back <_< Did manage to repay him the favour though.
however, i HAVE seen someone finish with a time of 00:00.00 before, and everyone started accusing him of hacking lol, but he said he didnt, the game had just froze and glitched. it didnt happen ever again though, so he probably was telling the truth.
Yeah, sometimes I see people warp and end up with unrealistic times. I've also won with times like 3 seconds and whatnot, and I assume this is to do with latency. If this starts happening too often I just leave and join another room.
But most often people the reason I seem to "suddenly warp" is because I boost in an area most people think not to. This said, I saw complaints that Marathon was boring, but in fact it's easily as quick as tracks like Funk, Maze, Descending and Over & Under. If you know the best path and have good timing you can easily get your time down to about 21s. I might post some tips and tricks once my exams finish, if anybody's interested, seeing as I'm confident that the only reasons I lose now are because either I stuffed up, my keyboard stuffed up or there were serious latency issues.
Does this problem happen to anyone one else?: when you are about to start race with 4 or less people, basically a race with any open slots, and then somone new joins on the countdown part of the screen and then after green light everyone is frozen.
Yeah Commander it's a very common issue. There are others like lagging, kudobomb after giving all your kudos or entering a full room. John tried to fix them but he couldn't (and lag is indeed only your problem, not the game's).
I really ExitPath, it's a great game and I strangely enough can play Uniplayer over and over and over again without getting bored of doing the same thing.
I also wouldn't call myself an expert, but I'm not bad, I got my last Uniplayer Flair today and only need flairs on Multiplayer for levels, I'm currently level 18 and my best time is 5:20.90 and I am very proud of it.
I only really use one trick, and that is to wait until my flow bar is high enough to use flow, and instead of holding down Space, I tap it really quick, It gives me a pretty contant speed and is very useful for those longer runs.
i bet noones beaten Fuzz Balls in 3:97. i did. and i didnt cheat or hack. i just went like, 'uchow!' and such. lol BEST GAME EVA!!!! lol
Your timer almost certainly lagged, and as such quite a few of us have posted times of 3 or 4 seconds for other maps as well, because lag affects just about everybody. Your flow bar won't even be full for the first three seconds. A perfect run for Fuzzballs would be just under 6.00s.
So, I just started playing this. Since I'm horribad at it, most of my time is just spend grinding xp between third and fifth place. There really needs to be some kind of tier of skill with joining games. I'm at "runner" status and still going against "Marathoners". Ouch.
Anyway, back to the grind. I suck, but at least it's vaguely fun and it's a good timewaster while WoW is still doing it's maintenance.
