2 weeks ago i knew no one with 1000 wins besides me.
now though, i have seen people with around 2500 matches and over 1500 wins... cant remember the names though.
im currently at 1100 wins, 1611 matches.
and about the timer thing, yea, i notice when im not the host, the timer lags horribly sometimes and i can finish with IMPOSSIBLY low times on some levels... but its not that i did the level any faster than normal, its that the timer was lagging. never happens when im host though.
Which does make me wonder if people do hack the game. I really do wonder... especially on the rare occasions when I think I've done a level quickly and I get blown away. Is it a connection issue or did somebody hack... or do I just suck?
There are too many grandmasters, who logout when they lose in the middle of the game.
So true. A match isn't registered unless it is completed, and when anybody (not just a grandmaster) with a near-perfect or perfect win ratio enters the room, I know for sure that they're not going to stay for long. This is just fine by me because while they annoy me with often obnoxious remarks about how good they are, I don't have to deal with them anymore once I beat them. There are too many nice people playing Exit Path for me to be bothered about the twerps.
However experience does actually count for something. Quite often people with over 1000 matches under their belts but only, say, 100 wins used to beat me because they simply knew the map better. (Unfortunately for them I've now played the game entirely too much and know the maps like the back of my hand lol.)
I hate the thing whatever that is which makes players come in front of us although I see them behind me. And, I still don't know all the maps. And, I hate the level called treadmillvania and zipper because most of the times, when I play these levels, there is a lag which stops me from jumping before I die!
treadmillvania is one of my favorites lol... and cubey, and unfriendly teleporters... and funk... anything thats on the tougher side :P
over and under is my least favorite, because of the cheap trick... followed by zipper (i know everyone loves that level, but i win less often on zipper than other levels because its too easy to master for everyone else lol)
and yes, lag does kill a game. i sometimes leave a room early because my ping doesnt seem to be all that high, and i cant play to the best of my ability like that.
Treadmillvania is not tough! That is one of my easiest levels. In fact, I consider this to be my easiest level. There are 100% chances of winning if there is no lag and you do not run towards double treadmills. You just need to go slow. That is all.
i know its not "tough" but it IS very hard to complete without a single mistake/death. if i could just do one run without a single death i could get probably under 10 seconds on that level... but it hasnt happened yet, my best time on treadmillvania so far has been about 12 secs or so.
well, it is tough compared to zipper or fuzz balls, which imo are the 2 easiest levels.
The thing I dislike about Treadmillvania is that if boosting past the last flag just before the double-axes, that flag often does not activate. However with judicious use of slide and boost to jump over two or even three cogs at a time, you can get the time down to 8s even with deaths. As long as you don't stuff up before the spiked segment and the axes, you'll be just fine because if you die and you're coming first there, chances are you'll still clear them first. I just keep rushing those segments and I almost always win that stage.
The thing I like about Funk and Descending is that daring and very precise rushes will give you an unsurmountable lead... but if you stuff it up you're done for.
And my personal favourites are Unfriendly Teleporters and Cubicles. I'm the only player I know who uses a secret technique in both levels which, provided I don't stuff them up (they're dangerous), invariably results in my win.
Now...
It's not impossible to have a grandmaster matchup!
As you can see, lag happens. There's no way I actually did that level in 4 seconds.

I really wonder what they are.
In cubicle, my technique is Long Flow Jump at 3rd Spring, and land at the top of last 2nd wall, and Jump to the end. (This takes around 7~9 secs with correct-clock server)
And another's technique that I saw is only use 1st spring and jumping all over the top of walls to the end. (This takes around 6~8 secs with correct-clock server)
Is your technique is one of these ? or Faster one ?
