The game's single player was awesome but then I saw multiplayer and I was like "lol this game has multiplayer? o_0" and when I went to try it out it was awesome,more fun than the singleplayer! :O
I feel its getting about time for a little patch, nothing much fix some glitches, add a few fair, and a hand-full of new/altered maps. On that note it would be cool if Exit Path had a map/level editor and the highest rated could be an "official" map/level.
I've never met anybody I'd outright accuse of hax. It's usually an obvious connection issue. Some people do play in the knowledge that they win usually because their timer glitches and gives them a massive headstart.
When I become aware of this, I usually tell everybody else, then leave the room, because it's unfair to the other players. However by the time you play about 1000 matches (I've got about 800) you should know pretty much every trick there is to every map currently on rotation. That said there are a few ideas I have up my sleeve that I've yet to bother trying, largely because I don't need to. Just as I have done to more experienced players, some people pick up on my tricks by watching me, which is one advantage to wearing a ninja suit... it's hard to track me lol.
There are a total of six cubicles. The first is empty. The second has an axe in it. The third has small spikes. The fourth has another axe. The fifth has the giant cogs which are a huge waste of time, and the sixth has the retracting spikes.
Long Flow Jump at 3rd Spring, and land at the top of last 2nd wall, and Jump to the end
I just flow over the fifth cubicle. That is usually enough to win, so it hasn't occurred to me to bother jumping from the 2nd last wall... but this would save me another second, thanks!
Against an opponent who already uses tricks like this, I would flow over both the third and fifth cubicles. If I get the timing right this is possible. If not... I pretty much lose lol.
And another's technique that I saw is only use 1st spring and jumping all over the top of walls to the end.
I've wondered about this but suspect that most times I shouldn't attempt this.
...to add to that I've encountered a player who uses a triple trick i.e. combines both what Nelad and I do. Needless to say I pulled off my double perfectly and still lost -_-;
Sandtiger, for example, is not a hacker, he's just extraordinarily good (over 1100 wins in just 1300 matches). This is the second time I've met him and he STILL wiped the floor with my butt: out of 5 matches he beat me 4. That is, of course, until I turned down the quality. It's amazing just how much the chugging from playing high quality resembles (or even influences) lag.
So if you have 'lag problems'... TURN DOWN THE QUALITY!
I've taken to experimentation (with hard drugs... nono just kidding).
I mean I've taken to experimenting with alternative routes. It's surprising just how much advantage you can eke out of the seemingly ridiculous. Of course most of them are crazy and dangerous and if I fail it usually means I lose... so my ratio is taking a beating lol. But after these exams I'll post my findings and you guys can have fun with it.
I'll never be able to use all those tricks because of the effing lag. Even with the quality down low, connection's too slow to pull everything off smoothly.
Well, at least I'm the second (or somewhere around there) person to reach level 41.
