In pakistan facebook has been banned because of some guy from europe made a "who can draw the funniest picture of muhammad" contest. I am a muslim and don't understand why people keep making fun of our religion. You don't see us making fun of Christianity or Judaism Etc. Why?
It will hurt facebook more than you think. You really don't know how many people in Pakistan use facebook. And most people in Pakistan can't afford to leave. 1 dollar is about 83 rupees. Now imagine how much dollars it takes to get a 1 way ticket there, it's about a thousand. Now imagine how much it cost to get a one way ticket to get back from Pakistan to the u.s in u.s dollars. Around 2 thousand +

Pakistan is more of a holy country, it's a requirement to be a Muslim, unlike America where any religion can live. And some of you don't relize what condition they live in. My family there is rich, but the poor bath in the creek with muddy water. The country is having a electrical crysis, some areas like the rich get about 1-2 hours of electricity before a hour power outage.
A ticket from Islamabad, Pakistan to an airport in New York for 2 adults, and 2 children would cost 252,854 PKR, 63,000 individually, this is economy class.

I don't see why it's SO bad to have a picture of Muhammad. I wouldn't care if someone drew a "funny" picture of God. I think all religion is probably all fake anyways. I think thousands of years ago, people didn't understand things, like the sun, or water, so they came up with things that made sence at the time. There are so many religions and so many people are extemeists, it's ridiculous.

I just think that people get mad over things like this because they have a lot of faith in that person. If you go to a guy and he is 100% godly obsessed he would be mad if you were making fun of god. Whoever banned facebook for you bluedevil must still like muhammad bin laden a lot.
