But anyways, this will hopefully be the official Black Ops thread. Talk about it, discuss it, etc. Obviously, the game isn't out yet, but w/e. (That was a ****load of commas)

1) You only get two perks in mutliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk. 2) There is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-Blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this). 3) The FAMAS returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto. 4) There is no M4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the SIG Commando. 5) Other new weapons confirmed include the RPK, Skorpion and MAC11. 6) There is no commando perk. (:]) 7) The scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment. 8) The One man army perk is also not included. 9) The highest killstreak reward (at this time in devlelopment) is 15. 10) There is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package. 11) As confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak. 12) You can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone. 13) The tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: the ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game). 14) The claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life. 15) Grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger. 16) The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!) 17) The PSG1 sniper rifle is in the game. 18) UAV, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The Pave Low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game. 19) The SR-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.

If it's the 11 minute video one you can be almost certain every CoD fan has seen it (I am not a fan, by the way). I like the customization in there, as it goes to extremely new depths of customization (that I know of) in FPS. However I just hope they have good balancing in this game.
Today, I realized that Call of Duty: Black Ops had little to offer, that I would use. (Note: I don't get a lot of video games, I just play the ones my bro brings, so I've only played COD: Modern Warfare 2.) Here's what I think is new. Customization Wager Matches Nazi Zombies The currency New Stuff(Guns, streaks, attachments) Contracts Sure, this stuff is fun, but it isn't what I expected for a 60 dollar game. Yet I feel pulled to it. Almost as if I know the game won't have much, but I can't stay on Modern Warfare 2. All I know is that I'm going to buy it. No, I must have it. No matter what I'm getting it. Maybe I'm a bit picky.
Okay. I see your point in terms of whats new, I thought the same. And I will only get Black Ops for: Customization Theator Mode (which you missed out) Wager Mode (listening to people scream? Halirious)
Customization isn't new, however it's taken to new depths and is slightly changed, due to the currency system - which I love incredibly. Nazi Zombies? Meh. I may like it, I can see its potential and I will enjoy trying it out with friends. Contracts? I'm not competitive for FPS games but I like the idea of this as you can easily control your pace with it.
New stuff is never new, half of them are the same really.
Anyway... Customization I feel is new, I also feel Theater Mode is new, despite Halo possessing it, why? It's finally for PC! PC was, is and always will be the best gaming console - people say PC's aren't made for it, wrong. Some of them are.
I will happily debate this with you if necessary by the way.

(Also, never owned a Halo game, but yes I forgot theater mode.) Meh, actually I'm only getting it so I can play nazi zombies with my bro. And maybe multiplayer. Of course, I have to disconnect my computer every single time to play, so not a big factor. Also Xbox live payments are a bummer...
But yeah umm, I'm probably gonna buy it... might as well considering I've got a few hundred bucks that I might as well spend. (Was gonna get a PlayStation until my bro offered me his Xbox.)

What's your point? A little kids car with a nice plastic explosive on it that can drive. Big woop? It's a killstreak and won't prove as awesome as it sounds, especially when people can shoot it. I can see it (and I know this is a reference, but a good one) being like the square box on Halo forge, used to make machinimas. Why not?
Also a Ballistic knife is just an accurate shotgun that kills with one shot. It's not that good.

Yes, but they're halving the resolution. Your picture quality will not be nearly as good, as on 360 they're dropping the resolution to something like 700x400. I would rather go for the higher resolution than 3D in details that crap.

Pfft, you can hardly call another series over-rated in a thread about the latest Call of Duties. They received critical acclaim and reached the heart's of many gamers for absolutely no good reason whatsoever. Halo is a game that requires skill and has a responsible community. Call of Duty will probably never return to that.

You need to actually aim the Ballistic knife to get a kill, so not really.
Watch the first multiplayer reveal video, it quite evidently depicts a guy Commandoing. Not to mention it will be no harder to hit with the ballistic knife than if the Intervention had a single, pin-point place it could fire.
