So I know there's was already a thread about this but I stopped looking for it after 5 pages...

But anyways, this will hopefully be the official Black Ops thread. Talk about it, discuss it, etc. Obviously, the game isn't out yet, but w/e. (That was a ****load of commas)

1) You only get two perks in mutliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk.
2) There is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-Blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this).
3) The FAMAS returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto.
4) There is no M4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the SIG Commando.
5) Other new weapons confirmed include the RPK, Skorpion and MAC11.
6) There is no commando perk. (:])
7) The scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment.
8) The One man army perk is also not included.
9) The highest killstreak reward (at this time in devlelopment) is 15.
10) There is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package.
11) As confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak.
12) You can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone.
13) The tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: the ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game).
14) The claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life.
15) Grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger.
16) The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!)
17) The PSG1 sniper rifle is in the game.
18) UAV, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The Pave Low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game.
19) The SR-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.

No I just do it really.

There is skill that you acquire and utilise subconsciously. When you were first quick scoping you took the time to think about the positioning of the crosshair and could effectively judge your bullet's destination before it reached it. As you got better you could instinctively tell where your bullet would end up; it was second nature and that is a minor thought process that occurs shortly before the actual reaction, or during the reaction.

If it didn't take skill then I could've been professionally quickscoping by the first day, but I couldn't. That shows that there is something that needs to be learnt, because I can assure you I know how to click two buttons.

Given the quote you replied to, I will just highlight a word in it:

Not me. I'm not that stupid to buy it first day,

It felt irrelevant that someone should estimate the total number of players on the first day and you tell him that you're not going to buy it. That doesn't falsify his statement, it just felt like a tasteless attempt to start a debate.

but they were all close range. I want to see long range quickscopes dammit D:

Because the reason quickscoping became a commonplace practice because people wanted the power of a sniper rifle in CQB situations. It's so much easier to snipe properly (or "hardscope" at longer ranges, it would be pointless quickscoping at longer range or not quickscoping at closer ranges, use your tactics appropriately!

Also, I got into an argument today at school with this very opinionated, stupid person, who called quickscoping "noobish" and it surely pissed me off. I really don't understand why people are calling it noobish. Even if it is considered "overpowered" you need some skill to do it, right?

i has a question for quickscoping since i'm not a sniper, why?, i mean what's the point of it all. It just seems like a flashy move so people can be like "lulz i haz skill and u dont n00b" is there any tactical value other than being a show off?

But that's boring! :/

Not really. It's just a more fun way of sniping. I don't hardscope that much. Not because it's noobish, which it isn't really, but because it's boring. I don't want to stand in the same spot for the whole match, I want to run around and have some fun with a game that I spent $60 on. And if people don't like it, they can find 5 other people who think the same and make a party, or play FFA, or play on a Gamebattles team.

quickscoping is just one of the many gimmicks scrubs use, along with marathon/lightweight/tact knifing, unlimited noob tubes with one man army, etc.

Personally, I just submit a complaint and avoid the players that use the cheap gimmicks. Eventually I'll stop running into them

I meant submit player review, not a formal complaint. Reviews are just so you can personally avoid those players, complaints are for cheating, etc. Wrong wording on my part.

... Wow, seriously?
I cannot believe that happened!
I mean... REALLY?! You, got, pissed off?
Chill out lol, Jeezus,
Half the people at my school is stupid, I don't get annoyed I just don't talk to them and LOL I don't let their attempts of annoyance to get to me. Why? Because that's what they want.

you need some skill to do it, right?

Nope.
Quickscoping is a technique, it takes minimum skill to perform this technique in CQB situations.
Medium-long range becomes much more difficult.
And, this has truth in it given the valid statement Elitemagical has made:
Because the reason quickscoping became a commonplace practice because people wanted the power of a sniper rifle in CQB situations.

True, if they had a more interesting mechanic that pretty much required hardscoping (like in BFBC2), it would be so much more useful.

there any tactical value other than being a show off?

There is, but funnily enough, the people who adore this technique most are often the ones whom only do it for showing off.

lulz i haz skill and u dont n00b

People do this anyway on CoD, by the way.

Oh and Elitemagical, about Quickscoping, I know it takes skil but.
"Meh", lol.
Your subconcious will require the practice of repeatedly doing something to utilise it efficiently / effectively.

I don't know why I'm as good as I am (REALLY into himself!), but it happened are you explained it and I went up against Chronix.
I don't understand, honestly.

My statement didn't back that up whatsoever. Mine simply explained the reason for quickscope, whether it requires skill or not wasn't mentioned in that quote . . .

Good.

quickscoping is just fast hardscoping nothing wrong with it takes more skill then spraying hardscoping and using explosives so i dont see peoples problem with it because quickscoping has been done in pretty much every cod

Chill out lol, Jeezus,

Well, the thing that makes me really mad is when people repeat things. The thing that makes me really mad is when people repeat things.

But he kept following me around in class (it was band, basically a study hall) and he kept telling me "quickscoping is noobish" "quickscoping is noobish" and when I'm in that situation, it really gets annoying after a while.

Medium-long range becomes much more difficult.

And that's why I DON'T quickscope at close range. Anything close quarters would be a no-scope and then immediately switching to my sidearm in case I miss. Even medium range is too easy for me.
