This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.
Drowning in your tears, That fall sparkling from your eyes, The sorrow fills the empty room, And swells towards the skies, I find myself trying to swim, But your regrets bog me down, I'm falling through your broken dreams, I'm not afraid to drown.
Losing to my mind Craziness and insanity Depressed and useless Represent my personality My life's truly a mess Stressed from my thoughts A battle with my mind I sit there musing Always end up losing.
We can never control ourselves, We do as we please, Fighting the authority, Stealing from the poor, Committing acts We wish we could take back. And making mistakes That haunt our minds forever.
To live a life of love To have warmth within you Is nothing I could ever do Which saddens my heart I've been bitter from the start If I kissed someone lips They'd never speak again As I have a curse That turns lips to crisp And, they'd never speak another word They'll never be heard Their lips shut tight Being silent throughout their life.
