This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.
I sail the sea, Seeking booty and plunder, A scurvy pirate, that I be, Here to tear yer ship asunder.
The black flag be mine, The one with a skull and bones, It better send chills through your spine, For yer about to visit Davy Jones.
But there be room in me heart for more, Than to murder and steal 'til I go numb, It be to lie on me back on me cabin's floor, With a tight grip 'round me precious rum.
Because it has been six days, I am going to do a different poem. Also because I don't like the first line I've been given (sorry, StormWalker) :b
I can see it now The glow of the sun, nearly touching the sky.
It's almost like hope, almost like warmth, almost like something more.
More than anything, before I saw the sky break And light spilled, blinding, cutting across the land. In the next moment, There is always something more.
