Haha, I bet I sound like a total dork, making a thread about Light Sabers. Anyways I'm watching the Star-Wars marathon, and I'm seeing all kinds of lightsabers, Green, Blue, Purple, Red. And I wanted to clarify what the colors meant. Like Red is bad, right? And everything else is good? And why is there only one guy with a purple one? Please elaborate, because I'm watching this and I want to make sure that I at least understand the Light Saber concept.
Dunno if someone mentioned it yet, but Mace Windu wanted the purple lightsaber so that he could be pointed out on the battlefield while slicing Droids and stuff in half. Big ego? Oh yes.
I kinda want to know why Darth Sidius can shoot the electircity out of his fingers and nobody else seems to be able to. I am assuming that it is because he is Sith, but then why can't Vader do that?
I think the official explanation it that Vader has metal hands, which for some reason means he can't conduct electricity.
jk, it has something to do with the Force. Look it up.

Not even close to true. Nice try though. Thanks for playing.
I would choose yellow! Cause yellow is so different and no one would think of yellow on a light-saber
Actually yellow is a very common color. In fact, after green, it's the most common color focus crystal used by the jedi knight.

Actually you are right. His arms are robotic, thus is no way for him to summon force lightning from his hands.
I would ask for a magenta colored lightsaber, just for the sake if someone made fun of me saying I had a "ink" lightsaber, I would school them and tell them it is magenta. And I think the only reason that Mace Windu had a purple lightsaber because (no offense) he was the only black jedi.
Actually Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber because Samuel L. Jackson is the shiz and he told George Lucas that that was the color he wanted, so that's the color he got.
