this site is very accurately translated, however not all the pictures are translated :/

What do you mean by that?

And the verse I gave was given as justification for 9/11... Could you please argue against it?

And another question- What do you think of the similarities between the Jewish-Christian god and your god?

i meant that the site has a very accurate translation of the surahs that are translated, however they have not translated the whole quran.

Who specifically gave it as justification for 9/11?

Islam, Christianity, and Judasim are all monothetic religions. we all believe in the same god.
However, our everyday practices are different.

It was used by bin Laden in "letter to America"

After posting that, I will look up the verses in post them here, if you wish, or you may do them yourself.

If you believe in the same god, then why do they go to hell?

3:85
Whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.

5:72
They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. ... Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helper

Bin ladin is not a representation of Islam - he is a nutcase.

This is talking only about people who recieved the message of islam and rejected it.

We believe that say, a monk, who is truly dedicated to God and does not believe in the trinity, and who REALLY believes that the way he is worshiping is the only way to worship, and has not heard of islam, will go to paradise.

I say "has neverheard of islam" because anyone who is really looking for the truth, and who learns about Islam, will never reject it.

Yet he uses Islam as a tool, and I have yet to see you argue against the verses he provided...

Sooo... You mean like me, a devoted atheist? I will yell "I REJECT YOU ALLAH!" If you wish. Most people in the US, UK, Russia, China, Japan, ect have heard of Islam and rejected it. Does that mean we all go to hell? And what of your sister religions, do they go to hell as well?

We believe that say, a monk, who is truly dedicated to God and does not believe in the trinity, and who REALLY believes that the way he is worshiping is the only way to worship, and has not heard of islam, will go to paradise.

But people like that only live in third world countries now, this doesn't apply to the countries mentioned.

I say "has neverheard of islam" because anyone who is really looking for the truth, and who learns about Islam, will never reject it.

... I just did... The person who wrote the Quran I am reading did. We both rejected it, even if I haven't read it, and we are searching for the truth, but neither of us are Muslim...

Now another question that I just remembered- Why don't Muslims like pictures of there prophets or god? I looked but could only find two verses vaguely saying it...

* 42:11 "The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby He multiplieth you. Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer."

* 21:52-54 "When he said unto his father and his folk: What are these images unto which ye pay devotion? They said: We found our fathers worshippers of them. He said: Verily ye and your fathers were in plain error."

bin ladin uses islam as a tool, just like if i use hitler as a representation of roman catholics!

and yes, unfortunately you, a devoted atheist.

And if you are reading a quran with commentary from someone who has already rejected it, don't you think that you might be getting some unwanted opinions?

Pics:
first off, because no one has accurate representation of any of the prophets, or god. No photos. I.e. any paintings, drawings, etc. are the artists idea of how they look.

the second quote is not talking about pictures... it is talking about idols.... that humans built and procede to worship - created by them and yet somehow will help them, has power of some sort?

oh wait, the first quote about the pics is also not talking about pics!!
it is saying that there is nothing like god... no other thing is similar to God.

lol sorry about that

It has a section without opinions, the opinions are only to sort for easy debating. I started were I should start, the worst parts, and they are just as bad, though of course similar, to the Christian Bible. Then I read the good parts, once more similar to the Christian Bible.(Though the writer rejected the Quran, there was a section for positive things)

All in all, it is just another fool hearty way to explain what is unknown. I prefer science and logic...

first off, because no one has accurate representation of any of the prophets, or god. No photos. I.e. any paintings, drawings, etc. are the artists idea of how they look.

Then why should you get offended if someone attempts?

the second quote is not talking about pictures... it is talking about idols.... that humans built and procede to worship - created by them and yet somehow will help them, has power of some sort?

Idols don't have power, they were basically gods in a box. Pictures also count as idols to many.

You didn't really explain why...

offended? who said offended? you mean like the comics about the prophet? I highly doubt there was anything wrong with muslims getting offended about something that offensive...

The whole middle east gets buzzed up over pictures, weather insulting or not, every time someone brings it up. Anyone remember the draw Muhammad contest a little wile back?

But, if Christians I have seen and the few Muslims I know are any example, they take religion over science and logic, sometimes holding back science and logic because of religion.
