I got the idea from NoNameC68's post in Would it be illegal to? Honestly I find that under 13 year-olds not being able to sit in the front seat (shotgun) in Washington anymore pretty stupid. I was taller than my mother at that time.
In Kentucky (I think it's just Lexington, not sure) it's illegal to carry ice cream in your back pocket.
WTF you may ask, well it's just the case as any of the other rediulous laws mentioned. It was a law put in effect a very long time ago (I don't know when, but it was long ago) there was a spree of ice cream shops being robbed and the robbers stored the ice cream cones in there back pocket. So, they made a law that made it illegal. And after awhile it stoped, and the law was just forgotten.
Every single piracy law with the exception of stealing someones work and saying it's yours. As for downloading and uploading, that shouldn't be more than $5 above the base price in civil court. You aren't making an effing profit off of it. >.>
I think that's one of those hold over laws from back when Noah witnessed the flood and Oklahoma was under the ocean. Oh wait, that never happened. Hmm... wonder where would find whales in a land locked state....
Wait, why?? All these "dumb laws" are the result of many problems that surface in the state, but what happened that made it illegal to own round doorknobs?
Yes, if you own a store, it's illegal to own round doorknobs. Unlike most of the silly laws here, this law is actually enforced. I don't know the specifics around this law, but the ADA made a bunch of laws requiring everything in stores to cater to the handicapped. I mean, it's good that we are being nice to the handicapped, but it's completely unfair that the government is forcing us.
i read that article on the ADA, and that is just plain stupid. i can relate to and see all of these consequences every day, and i never knew they existed.. again, unless it was repealed, the ADA caused far more harm than good.
i LOL'd pretty hard though when they mentioned making wider seats for fat people at movie theaters..

After a moment of laughing I realized I wasn't laughing at all but rather I was crying. I guess living in constant fear of the government and other power mad fuck jobs is normal though.
Personally I'm all for the wider seats at the movie theater. The fat people won't complain, and I'll have more room to stretch out and get comfortable It's like being upgraded to first class for being healthy.

I'd counter this claim with more expensive tickets to compensate for less seats, but they already screw you over with overpriced food and soda...
Anyway, we shouldn't cater to fat people. Obesity is not some problem people can't help. If you're fat, then it's your fault. All you have to do is be active and you can maintain a normal weight. Screw diets, they don't work, it's ALL about being active.

I agree with you there. People treat their bodies like crap and then complain that they are unable to perform like everyone else. Well then quit eating 12 Big Macs and sitting on your butt all day! Problem solved.
Without wanting to sound like I'm sticking up for obese people - some people CAN'T help it - they either have metabolism/thyroid problems or some form of mental disorder which makes them eat excessively - this isn't the case for the majority of obese people who are just lazy but please don't lump everyone together as one.
