This topic is based upon your personal opinion on whether abortion is wrong or right. I personally believe that it is wrong, and have many reasons for it. You may challenge me if you wish, but please make sense!
PL also argues that no matter the circumstances, the fetus has the right to a life, which is really the only argument that is meritable. Yes, a guy had carnal knowledge of a woman without consent, but is that fetus the one at fault? At least be the one to give birth to it, THEN decide the fate of the illegitimate newborn, whether you want to keep it, or have someone who would be willing to adopt it.
Meh, I see Abortion as circumstantially the 'lesser of two evils'. I've never really understood the freaks that are PL. They believe it's better for a kid to live a life of pain, suffering, abuse or abandonment because they don't like the idea of taking away life from an innocent living thing. In that case, why do you eat meat? I'm quite sure that didn't do anything wrong or asked to be killed. A foetus up until a certain cut-off point really can't feel that much and so ending a pregnancy before that point is acceptable under the right circumstances - at least in my mind.
im not sayin anything to be rude here. but any man who has any opinion on the subject of abortion is ignorant. its not up to us to decide, it is only for a woman to decide, we may give our positions on the subject, but ive known men who guilted their girlfreinds or wives in both directions on abortions, and it destroyed their relationship. it needs to remain a CHOICE. morally grey choices cant be called good or bad, unless of course you can see the future.
Meh, morally grey is a hard one to work with. However, the black and white stuff is easier to separate:
A got an abortion because she couldn't afford a baby AND a new pink car.
B got an abortion because she found out there was a 75% chance she would pass on a genetic disorder to her child that would cause severe motor skills impairment and retardation.
Anyway, I agree that men shouldn't have a say against their own partners when it comes to abortion. However, we need to set proper guidelines as to what constitutes an acceptable reason for abortion and so we're gonna have to get involved somewhere along the lines.

Wrong, tho I know WHY you say it, and yes the final decision lies with the woman who bears the child. But dont forget who makes up half that baby. To call me ignorant because I have an opinion is a bit strong dontcha think? I still have a say in what will be my child on the earth. And dont forget there are other women who have never had a child and yet you make it seem as if its ok for them to give their opinion without the worry of seeming ignorant.
Either way Im in full agreement that it needs to remain a choice.
i see, ignorant was a bit harsh, i was trying to say, a man who is not involved in the pregnancy. or i guess a man who is just trying to shirk the responsibility of a baby. i have 2 daughters, one of whom i have adopted. she is from my wifes previous relationship, and when my wife wouldn't get an abortion he left her. i still think its a choice, i just meant that there are alot of men out there, who arent involved personally, who tell women its not ok.

My ex-friend aborted her baby after she became pregnant, she was 20 weeks in and the baby was taken out of her womb half alive and the doctor crushed its soft skull to kill it. She could see it twitch and die right in front of her. She later tried to kill herself. What if you were aborted, would that be ok? Because after all you weren't really alive yet.

A sleeping person is thinking fully. By this logic, sperm is also a baby and condemns are wrong and you must have sex every day or you kill off millions of potential babies. Males make thousands of sperm a day, each with the potential of becoming a baby. Using this logic, if we do not have sex every day then we just murdered.

Hi guys I am new to this forum thing, so please bear with me, I think its wrong over all, but I would say that there are some cases that it would be acceptable, to me that is. I am from South africa, and here we have some of the highest rape figures in the world. I always think that if I had a daughter or wife and they were raped and she falls pregnant, will I be able to raise that kid as if it was my own, knowing that the real father of that child is the one who stuffed up my wife or daughters life forever...... I personally dont think so..
