Do you think that we will ever get rid of all of the nuclear bombs in the world? I personally would feel unsafe if the US got rid of all their bombs before other countries that have bad feelings towards the US.
Maybe if someone invents superweapon, what is easier faster, devesteting and cheaper to make. Or if hole human kind get slaythered.Other options no. There is always some states what stores nukes.

Even if we all agree to an armistice of not using nukes period, no country worth their salt is going to risk destroying ALL of it, lest we make ourselves more venerable than a muzzled puppy with no legs. We would still have our army, navy, and air force, but what's to stop a nuke besides M.A.D.?
