What are you talking about? If the kids at school are beating you up or something then I'm sorry. But don't moan about it here. Most of us do care what others think of us, it's part of having a society. And many people come on here to learn, discuss, and just practice arguing for and against things. And as far as I've seen, no one has put anyone down.

From a psychological standpoint its the same reason they say things like "evelutionism" and "darwinism", it is a failing attempt to put the two on the same level.

Nope, there is such a thing as an atheist with a religion. For instance some forms of Buddhism have no deities, since these Buddhists don't believe in a deity they are atheists.
Hmm, so an atheist could as well be esoteric, cabalistic, believe in cryptids and aliens.. but I understand that many seem to make a link between atheists and people who are antireligion and proscience, since this is a frequent combination (I thought so myself for some time). It's in our nature to make hasty generalizations..

People simply want to show that you, like everyone else, believe in a set of religious rules (whether or not you actually do). And even though you've given examples of religious atheists, not everyone seems to think that is possible.

It doesn't seem that unlikely that a random person will believe that most if not all atheists are against religions in general. So if atheism was a religion, it would make atheists seem just a little hypocritical- which explains why some people are so anxious to convince everyone that not believing in a deity is a religion.
Atheism is NOT a religion. A- means non and Theism means belief in a God or Gods. Atheism is simply stating a lack of belief. You keep ignoring our posts that prove Atheism isn't a religion and persist with points we've already discredited.

I think the 'kids' are not trying to tell religious people they're wrong, but are trying to clear misunderstandings that are made over and over again. Seems you/they just won't listen since we have to repeat it again and again. And your thing with 'get a life' is just random. What do you know of the other user's life?
