If you know what I'm talking about, I hope you agree with me that he is a complete moron. He is putting our troops over in Afghanistan at risk, by making 'moderate' muslims 'extreme' muslims. Post your ideas on this topic here:

Is he thinking that burning holy book is good idea??

Well he thinks Islame is evil so I'm assuming yes. I respect and admire Buddhists and Hindus for actually being peaceful compared to all the hypocrite Christens and Muslims.

If someone burned most any book in the world most people wouldnt care (exept maybe the author) but if its a "holy book" then people kick up a storm... I thought god said not to worship idols. The book looks like an Idol to me.

Book burnings were bad because there was a time when each and every book was written by hand. This means there were very few copies of each individual book, and burning a single book could be the end of it for good.

Today, books are printed by mass amounts. Book burnings are purely symbolic.

I suppose everyone here could care less if they burn the American flag.

Here's a video by ThunderFoot. I believe he expresses my opinions quite well.

hahahaha. Pathetic humans driving insane for power (by religion in this case). People can't stop fighting for once, can they?

But at the same time, it's not something really surprising. I mean for centuries and centuries humans hated each other for differences and to gain power. And religions have differences and with it you can obtain power...so...religion= always war.

I can go on and on about how stupid and childish both sides are acting but instead all I'll say is:

"If you want a symbolic gesture, wash the the flag. Don't burn it". Morgan Mjelder

Have heard that b4 and fully agree. Burning signifies destruction. Washing signifies daz, whiter than white... em... I mean a new beginning etc etc

I'll agree that both sides are acting stupid, but I have never seen children threatening to kill people and burn books before. It's a means of expression and a way to show discontent.

If you want to show discontent, this doesn't really work. If you want to show acceptance, then obviously you would wash the flag instead. However, the goal here is to show discontent.

I say that quote on COD:MW2 lol. Such a peaceful quote in such a violent game. Back on topic, when I read the first article I was surprised to see that the American government stopped the burning of the Qur'an as soon as things got out of hand while Afghanistan's government did absolutely nothing to stop the flag burning. Seems like Afghanistan's government kinda wanted the flag burning.

Sorry for double post.

but I have never seen children threatening to kill people and burn books before.

I was trying to think of something else to say but idiotic means the same thing as stupid. So I took the first thing that pop in my head.

What I meant or rather what the quote meant was that you shouldn't burn a flag at all but instead wash it it show a more peaceful message and is more symbolic.

Looks like I fail at double posting and it also looks like I fail at comprehending a sentence. :/ Forget what I said in the last part from my last post.

I know it's a message of peace, but it offers absolutely no solution to dissatisfaction.

And it doesnt feel quite as good.

I still say bleach the cloth and at least you have a halfway gesture.

Turns it white, a universal sign of surrender.
