Burnhing books is not fine in Bakersfield. We have enough pollution as it is. However, if one is homeless and burning a book for warmth, that is fine. These do not coincide, as there is no need for extra warmth in Bakersfield.

I think that there is some much friction between Muslims, Jews, and Christians is because they are so similar in many ways. To be unique, they emphasize heavily on the small differences between them. Thus sadly we have a mood of hate in the air.
meh, Islam and Christianity both stemmed from Judaism, hence the similarities. Islam veered off long before Christianity, and has their prophet Muhammad at the center of their faith, Christians have Christ at the center, and Jews are still waiting for someone cool enough to fit their idea of the savior to come along.

I disagree. If someone is willing to all of a sudden start fighting against us simply because some pastor in Florida burns a few books then they are already willing to fight us. This is just a paranoid assumption to try to get this fool to not make an ass of himself and his faith.

YES. i agree. It makes sense. Take the 'extremist' muslims, who hate the USA and Americans, then take the moderate muslim. If the moderate muslim sees this video on youtube going around the world about some guy burning the holy book, its gonna piss him off....

Yeesh - don't disagree with me MR - I'm only translating what he said. Anyway, while I don't think it could make anyone pick up arms against America (they'd already have to want to and were just looking for a reason) - I do think it could slightly increase tension between the Middle East and the West.

i don't think u people understand. There is a vast difference in slandering the christian religion and slandering the muslim religion. I've not heard of many christians that go and blow themselves up in defense of their beliefs...
Does anyone remember the drawing of Muhammad that showed him concealing a bomb in his turban?.... yea it caused alot of problems. Now imagine the same uproar but instead the enraged focus their fury on the US instead of a newspaper company... pictures can be removed from the media... holy books can't be unburned.
i imagine that there are muslims out there that choose to peacefully coexist and grin and bear the presence of the other people they don't particularly care for that live around them... and/or patrol their streets (us troops) burning a the Koran/Quran will cause a much larger uproar than burning a bible will for christians...let alone a mass burning of Korans... u guys might say that isn't true but it is.
doing this may push those that have decided to live and let live into violence... and our boys over there don't need anymore violence
