Ha ha ha so you're saying the same religion that people beat and kill for is the same religion that preaches tolerance.
Actually ALL of them beat people, kill them, shove their dogma in their faces, and promote intolerance, all the while saying they are all about peace and love.
If you really are about peace, tolerance, and love everyone will see it. You don't have to tell people about it while you are ostracising and discriminating against those who disagree with you.

Then you can say the same about all the other religions. They don't force people to follow them, but their followers do. So by your logic the Qur'an isn't an evil book, but the people who follow it sometimes do bad things.

I take it you've read the Qur'an, and the Bible, front to back and are informed on the subject?
Obviously not, because the Qur'an and the Bible make many of the same claims regarding their religions. And another funny thing is that they both stemmed from Judaism, and worship the same god, Yahweh in Hebrew and Allah in Arabic. The muslims even make numerous references to Moses as a holy prophet of Allah (which means God).
If you would like we can go on a theological journey together and I can point out exact quotes from both scriptures for you, since you obviously have very little knowledge on the subject.

How is a book evil? Even if you don't follow the writings in it religiously you can still gain knowledge of what en entire culture believes in, thus gaining a better perspective of those people.
It's fortunate that burning books is no longer as detrimental to the lose of knowledge it once was, but even on a symbolic level it's something I can not agree with.

Ah, so you admit you have no knowledge of the Qur'an, just what you got from an obviously religiously biased website about them. Well then I suggest you find an unbiased source and get some accurate information.

Umm... logic fail. Again, research what you are talking about and you would see the truth. Also, the Jews don't believe in Jesus, but they worship the same god as you do. Funny how that works. Oh, and Moses, the guy who wrote the first 5 books of your Bible, he's mentioned over 40 times in the Qur'an as a prophet of God. Now let me ask you this.
If Moses is a prophet of God (according to the Jews and Christians), the same god you and the jews worship, and the muslims claim him to be a prophet of god as well, doesn't that indicate that all of you are talking about the same god? Seems pretty clear. Unless, of course, you've been convinced to believe in your personal fairy tale as opposed to listening to reason and logic.
