by the sound of it
it sounds like a deity helped him

Actually it sounds like his subconscious helped him...

For example, if you truthfully believed Elmer Fudd was able to help you, and you thought of him in a kind of prayer, you would here his voice saying what you would expect. Try it, it is less possible when you know it is false, however.

It's a speculation. And how would you know that God created the world? Were you there?

i am a christian, and have doubted it a few times, but in my hardest times, i hear a voice or get a feeloing, which somehow helps me a ton, so i do believe in god, he always helps me in the end

Actually it's far more likely that this is a psychological response to stimuli. You've 'rogrammed' yourself to believe that things like this will happen in certain instances, and so they do. That's just how the mind works. It's not God, it's chemistry.

The unconscious mind can communicate with the conscious mind in a number of ways. Voices and strange feelings are among these ways. Since the unconscious processes of your mind run faster then your conscious processes it can seem like these voices in your head and feels are coming from an external source.

From what he was describing it fits this process.

I can happily trick myself into thinking Im psychic, into hearing the "feeling" of god, buddah, ghosts, demons and insanity. In the end I turn round to myself and have a chuckle because I doubt very much that I ever have, will have or can have any of these... exept insanity. That comes to us all.

Was just thinking along a different line but couldn't find a topic for it. hypothetically speaking, How do we know god isnt the evil one, and satan is the good? I mean he hasn't directly done anything to harm humans on a mass scale, unlike god, he could just be misunderstood. He told eve to eat the apple so she could be free, and live life however she wants it, not under all of gods boring rules, god kept them in like a prison really where they couldn't do fun things (aka sin), and satan freed humanity, then jesus came down and basically tried his best to win us back by doing magic tricks, he knew everyone was a fool for magic, so god had to trick us to think he was good, then he allowed the torture of his own son for our sins, yet we still have to be forgiven for our sins and go to hell anyway? why bother then, seems he just wanted to watch someone be tortured, it all makes sense to me now

Satan <3

Apparently there isn't a problem to big that a loving mass genocide can't handle.

20 million (estimated). Being evil. Drowning (Yes, even the Plesiosaurs). Gen.6-8

14,700 Israelites. Complaining about the previous two loving assassinations. Plague Num.16:49 (The management thanks you for your feedback. Now die!)

24,000 Israelites Sexual immorality with Moabite women and worshiping Baal. Plague. Num.25:9 (Proving once more that despite God being obviously real and very jealous, Israelites would worship a sandwich if Moses so much as popped out to buy a newspaper.)

rationwiki

that's just a few examples of god doing lovely genocide i think I'll switch to Satan

It all depends on your faith. God is an entity that has to be believed in. There is no way to prove that he exists, and no way to disprove his existence. It is all based on a persons faith.

You don't need to disprove it tho, the person/people putting forth the claim need to prove he does exist first, before any disproving can be done. After all, you can't disprove something that doesn't have proof to start with.

If a god exists, it will make a measurable impact. If it doesn't, it wont make a measurable impact. A measurable impact exists and can be measured and proof can be found, nothing can be found from a lack of proof.
So if a God exists it can be proven to exist, but if something doesn't exist you can't prove that it doesn't(that counts for fairies as well).

Why do people always fall back on the "cant prove he ISNT real" argument when they aint got nothing else?
