Do we continue life in HEAVEN for EVER and what would we do if that happened?

OR do we continue live in HELL for EVER suffering because we all sinned?

This is probably the hardest question in the world to answer but I want to know what you think will happen to us?

unless you adhere to a certain religion and set of rules

Well according to those holy books, or at least the interpretations of those authorized on the subject, you're perfectly happy doing it; i.e., no desire for sex or drugs or murder, etc.

Well, we mormons believe, (and no we are not polygamists!) that you go to spirit paradise or spirit prison until the second coming of Jesus Christ to the Earth. Then, everyone is sorted into one of the three kingdoms of everlasting glory, depending on how we were here on Earth. I geuss that you can all say we are crazy, but it's what we believe.

Meh, you're only as crazy as every other religion out there.

It depends on your religion

Ones belief doesn't effect what is and isn't reality.

Again I have to ask why do you believe this?

If you believe in some sort of afterlife, then your spirit might end up going there. That is, if there is an afterlife at all.

The pre-assumes there is a spirit. But just for the sake of argument why would belief effect our going or not if all of that was real?

Not necessarily. Atheism does not equal no belief in an afterlife - merely a choice, based on facts, not to hold belief in a deity or deities - usually through lack of evidence. There are Atheistic Buddhists that still believe in Reincarnation, for example.

I pray to my God that you don't believe that.

What's wrong with that belief? - it's not mine but I don't see why you find it so bad.

I agree, personally I find the idea interesting although I wouldn't say I believe in it.

I don't find it bad, just weird. I don't understand where reincarnation makes more sense or puts forth any more fact that Heaven or Hell.

Touche. Both, I find, are a little painful because you can't really know, however I guess I'm Catholic because I'd rather spend eternity in paradise (yes, my idea of paradise is eternally worshipping God) than getting good karma and being reincarnated as a really hot dude who gets lots of girls. Or a tree. Or whatever it is the kids say these days.

That's what the catcher is, isn't it? No religion has any proof, beyond faith. Therefore, no other religion/belief/philosophy can be more or less credible, because it is faith, no matter how eccentric it may be. I created the belief of worshiping Enchiladotuilluptah the Food god for laughs, and yet it still has the same credibility as Christianity, Buddhism, Pastafarianism, Islam, whatever.

Okay, well let me ask you; two plus two equals four, correct? But, if everyone in the world said that two plus two equals five, what does two plus two equal in the world, in the classrooms, etc?

Erm, society defines some laws although if we assume that 2 is half of four than if it's multiplied by two it must equal four if it's half of five than multiplied by two it must equal five.

What does this have to do with it =P
