And you have some proof of that, Faunbard? I'd love to see it - and don't say 'The Bible' because I have easy access to Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists and Pastafarians - and I'm quite sure they'd all insist that their beliefs were correct.
Isn't the "if you are not Christian you go to Hell" a tad rigid and severe? I thought that the Christian God held the property of justice, and honestly what you said doesn't seem just.

Agreed. Today there are roughly 2 billion Christians world wide. Considering there are over 6.8 billion people currently alive that means we are looking at roughly 4.8 billion people who will go to hell today. Of course that's not even count all those who have already passes away which is estimated to be around 99.6 billion, making this number significantly higher. Based on what samy pointed out jumps the numbers up even more so giving a roughly 46 billion going straight to hell. Figuring that that leaves roughly 53.6 billion who have died and had this chance to be Christian. now we don't know how many of those 53.6 billion were Christian and could go to heaven, so just for the sake of argument let's say the ration has been roughly the same as it is today (I'm sure that isn't accurate but this is just to get an idea). that leaves us with 37.52 billion who have died in the past 2000 years who went to hell. This all gives us a total of roughly Hell 4.8 billion headed there 83.52 billion already there.
Heaven 2 billion headed there 16.08 billion already there
Considering God wants us in heaven it seems to me he is doing a pretty piss poor job of making sure we get there.
I don't believe in going anywhere after death. Death is like a short black image. If you get revived you won't be able to notice how long you were dead. Even a year or two would be gone in a moment. If you're dead forever, I dno what happens then. But I'm not religious and I will never be.

I'v seen many quotes that try to cast God in a poor light with #'s but when I look at those #'s from a biblical world view I would say that God hasn't done a poor job, but that people (who God gave free will to choose there own path) are refusing the obviously more enjoyable existence in Heaven and are choosing instead to believe in themselves and thus go to Hell
An eternity of anything sounds torturous to me... So all I can do is hope that where we go is as dynamic as this place is. Unless of coarse we stay (reincarnation) that'd be alright too. [Boredom and drudgery are evil]
