For example, God is a master of all people who basically do good things (basically). Satan is the master of people who do bad things (not exactly Staan worshipers). What do you think? Is Staan a master? Does he have a huge hold on us, as well as God?
Please listen: I absolutely do NOT want this turning into a "your stupid because you believe in this or that" contest, as long as what people believe in does not hurt someone else. People of any faith, or none at all are welcome!
Satan, just like everything else, is a product of God, according to Christians. So in this respect, he's not a master of anything.
Hell isn't some domain to be ruled over. This concept comes from pastor and preachers thinking way too much about the subject and assuming some really silly things. The only thing we can know about hell from the bible is that it's a realm where separation from God is at a maximum. That's it. Where do we get off assuming some hierarchy of hell? Dante? Milton? Cuz those were just poems, not biblical truths.
It's funny how people keep referring to 'God' and 'Satan' without specifying which ones they mean. There are thousands upon thousands of religions out there with thousands of branches - you might wanna narrow it down.
Care to state a Biblical, logical, or just plain made up reason for that, as well as what deity you are referring to by "god"?

Lot's of religions have a guy that plays the same roles as satan - not under the same name of course. The trickster, the tormentor and the lord of the underworld - there are many religions that have spirits, demons or the like to play these roles.
Reading through all of the posts on this topic I realized that apparently we are assuming that the Christian God created Satan. This is what I always assumed, until I just went and did a search through the King Jame's version of the Bible. In the book of Job there are 2 passages that state the following. " Now there was a day then the Sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them" Then later "Again there was a day when the Sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them to present Himself before the Lord"
I don't know that I ever really read that passage before, but it has raised a rather interesting problem into this discussion.
Why is Satan set apart from the "Sons of God" ? Was he not a Son of God? If he was not a Son of God then where did he come from?
If he is a Son of God then he is under God's rule and is therefor not a master but a tempter and inflicter of pain with God's sanctioning.
If he is not a Son of God then he is a master and can act of his own free will in direct conflict with God.

That wouldnt make sense, supposedly god is the master of all and created everything, including satan. I think its singling satan out because he is different from the other sons i.e. he turned to the dark side of the force and tried to overthrow his creator.
Religion is bulging with so many contradictions I just cannot see why people believe it.
He is a master of temptation and probably of hormons; anyone who controls our hormons has won over us. So yes, under these circumstances he would be a master.
but really, Satan isn't the master of anything that god didn't give him control over.. so he's like the president of the USA. Looks like he has power, but really doesn't. lol
I don't like Satan, and maybe he is the master of faith. But i don't like saying the name, cause i'm christ. So saying the name is a dishonor to God, i think.
