Well I'm not sure on the current discussion, so I'll just share my views on it.
Illegal immigrants show a drive that it seems many Americans lack these day, these men and women are willing to do the jobs that no one else will and for lesser pay. All in an effort to live a better life for themselves and their families. Even then many of them still send money back home to their families. It's because of this illegal status that they're forced to live in poor neighbor hoods, adding to the gang population. In other cases, these immigrants actually pay more attention to the law then normal Americans, yet if caught they're automatically thrown out of the country. They should be given a chance to prove that they are able to become stable, functional members of the United States not thrown back into their home country where they'll simply try again.
What the mother-... I don't want to be banned, so I'll put it simply. YOU DID NOT READ THE LINK. And I know this for a fact. Because it never said 79% of Americans didn't pay taxes; it said 79% of Americans who didn't pay taxes were white. Gawd.
Okay, just the way it was said was confusing. Basically, 79% of 83% of legal Americans pay taxes. That's saying 66% of white people don't pay taxes (I'm still convinced it can't be that high). The site I went on said (someone else posted a link)that only about 35% of Americans were bad with taxes.
Let me ask you again Joe. Do you even read your own links? Or do you post them because it shows something relevant on Google?
I haven't seen you post any links. You've just spewed out opinions about other people, not the thread of illegal immigration.
You mean facts? But you're right. I haven't posted any links on this thread, except for the citizenship exam that immigrants have to take. Just sort of proves my point on how they know more about America than we do after they are done.
@The Rest of You: Simmer down. Debate cooly.
Here's my opinion. Leave them alone. Spending money to futilely try and stop illegal immigrants is folly. You are hurting your own cause if you think this is the correct way to stop them. Have benefits that are entitled to you only given to American citizens. This is government money. It should be cycled back to them, not back to the native country in which they came from. Give them jobs. Let them live better than how they have been in the past.
I thought you meant broad-spectrum mountains, but all right. I'm not going to deny that some Americans are poor; all I'm saying is, Mexicans are poorer. Mexicans don't have thousands of dollars to spend.
...All in an effort to live a better life for themselves and their families
There is nothing wrong with that, but if they stay here and send their kids to schools without paying for it, that is wrong.

1.If they are caught commiting a crime, they should go to jail like anyone else. 2.I think that something should be offered where people who want to be legal, but don't have the money have a certain amount of time to get the money to be legal, but while they try to get the money in that time, they are issued Visas and have to see a counselor or someone to report how they are doing, or ask questions.
you are acting like one you post links that are clearly biased other than thats its only opinion that basicly says
MEXICANS! they should go back where they came from and starve so i can help the couple hobos on the street and they are lazy people who don't pay taxes and don't do work whatsoever!

Of course, what I'm saying is that we don't need ICE to grab them and send them back in a flash.
As for your second point I agree with it for the most part.
Also about that bit of not paying their taxes, there are documented cases of immigrants who have managed to pay taxes. Those who can't, don't do so because they're not allowed to.
Also can you imagine how traumatizing it would be for a child if his/her parents were wither arrested in front of (s)he or worse yet the child was arrested along with them?
Sorry, "submit" fail. I want to clarify what I said. No, I most certainly did not call you a retard. Mental illnesses and handicaps are serious matters, and I would never use them to refer to someone such as yourself, who, luckily, have full mental capabilities. I called you a hypocrite, being that you only see/hear what you want to see/hear. In addition, you spurt out your (biased) opinions and assumptions without actual evidence despite numerous requests to do so. Last but not least, you criticized Freakenstein for not posting links when in fact he was not actually arguing the point, he was arguing how you argue, which is, ironically, doing so without links! That said, perhaps we can all agree to disagree and try to stop getting so angry. This is, after all, the internet.
