Are they real or not? I am very curious to hear everyones opinion. Le's Discuss. No matter which side you are on, please explain why you feel this way so others can better understand your opinion. Thanks!

I think that the odds are certainly stacked in the favour of alien life-forms existing - the real question is: Is there intelligent alien life? Or at least to me anyway - the answer to that is always 'I don't know'. We can speculate all we want but it's hard to say yes or no.

Considering the shear size of the universe- it is highly likely that a form of alien life exists. It is, however, unlikely that they are of human intelligence or even near. Or even close to us. I would hope artificial lighting would make them easier to find if they were intelligent, or at least stone formations...

The sheer size of the universe must mean that there is some other sentinet life out there. Of course, while i believe that aliens do exist, i do not believe that we have encountered them. If they found us they would either 1) make contact with us, 2) see what a violent species we are and leave us alone, 3) take over us. If they have the tech. to get over here, and are abducting people like some think, wouldn't it be easy to just subjugate mankind and use them as lab specimens? What they are said to be doing now (abducting, scouting?) is the equivalent of a flean nipping at a saint bernard. Why take such baby steps in intergalactic relationships?

Aliens?

Kind of Vague. E.T, or Illegal? I mean, it's an honest question.

*facepalm* really?

Personally I believe extraterestrial life must exist in some sentient form or another. I highly doubt they would be humanoid though. They are most likely primitive, but I would not rule out an advanced level of intelligence, though possibly only matching out own.

- insert Twilight Zone music here -

Well, I guess we are talking about E.T!

I'm an Alien so I would only concur that there are ones like myself.

I'm gonna say there is intelligent life out there, somewhere, but I don't think they're as advanced at us, maybe still at a basic stage and still in low numbers. But I guess we won't know for a good 10 years still, till our technology improved.

So that rules out intelligent life....

Given the odds I think that it is very likely that life exists on other worlds, I also think given the odds that it's likely intelligent life existing on other planets.
However I don't think it's likely they have visited this world.

Aliens don't exist! Humans are the only life that we should possibly care about, I mean seriously now, we are the best.

I would never say they exist definitively. I will go on to speculate that, with billions and billions of galaxies, with billions and billions of stars within those galaxies, there probably is life somewhere. As for intelligent life, let me put it this way:

There are ten billion galaxies (guess)
1 in 10 galaxies have basic life
1 in 1,000,000 of those has life
So: 1 billion galaxies have life, and about 1,000 have intelligent life

The odds are very much in favor, even with my unlikely odds. Have they visited us? No.
