There was another thread about "a small internet world", and this morning a question popped in my head. How big is the internet? (Obviously not in distance or anything, I mean in size)
HUGE, and growing every second. It's impossible to tell how big, and even if someone would manage to, that information would be false five seconds later.
I would say the internet is just like the universe in a way. It keeps expanding with the constant websites made and new features added to websites. The internet is infinite.

Well, I wouldn't say, infinite. See, there's website made by people who stops using them and keeps them there. Like it's nothing. Really, blank.
The actual "size" varies because the internet is simply made up of storage space and the data on that space. As many computers as there are connected, and the amount of space on those computers, is the "size" of the internet. Interesting factoid for you, the internet was initially a DARPA project back in the 1960's to connect key sites for the Department of Defense.
Now if the internet is like the universe...are there multiple "internets"...further expanding the size? internets which are not accessible to us bc we have not created it yet, but in some other universe(at the exact same time) it has?!
Lol that map is awesome...the "gulf of china" made me lol...it's just like all these internet things and then BAM! gulf of china...would have been ironic had it been like North Korea or something bc they have limited internet...their gov't blocks a lot of sites from being visited...
I'm surprised Twitter is that much larger than Youtube. I thought Twitter had just been going downhill for the past few years and people were gradually "retiring" from it.
Maybe just because I haven't been hearing anything about it for such a long time...
The internet is huge. Obviously there's the map, but that's just a small scale. The internet is probably the size of the universe, and at the edge of the universe, you have 4Chan. I'm not gonna say anything else, since I've said too much already.
