I stole a bite size rice krispies treat from the lunch line and i put it back and they saw me put it back they gave me a suspension for that. The treat was never concealed and I never brought It out of the lunch line. I was also pulled off the football team. Was this an okay suspension? To harsh? More punishment? Only a little less punishment? I just want this cleared up. Opinion are nice to hear.
Well that's really weird and stupid. If I did that at my school then the lunch lady (if she saw) would scold me for a bit and tell me to not do it again.
That is stupid. You don't deserve a suspension over something that simple. You gave it back and as far as it is you pretty much did nothing. That is way to strict over something that simple. Even if they caught you I would understand a detention since some teachers are strict, but what you got is way to strict.
if this was my school i could have just taken it and walked away... the lunch ladies don't even care or understand.
everyone steels from the lunch line. when you buy fries you go up the the register and pay for the fries then they give you a "fries" slip of paper. then you go up the the other lady who gives the food and they will hand you the fries. but everyone just keeps the paper after they get the fries and hands it to someone else who then just goes up with the paper, gets fries and leaves.
Okay....wow...if I was you I would definitely change schools because that is completely ridiculous. I have done worse and not even got anything for it. You didn't even really "steal it" because you put it back so that is total bull. That could be worse than the school who suspended a kid for having long hair....but I don't know
I go to a PA school as well, but they are no where near as strict. I'm not sure if switching schools is the best idea, but that's just my opinion. [quote]That could be worse than the school who suspended a kid for having long hair.... but I don't know[/paste]
I don't think its that bad. Suspending someone for their physical appearance seems just wrong, unless they got some sort of inappropriate tattoo or something of the sort.
You got suspended for a taking a bite of some treat? well that's new. Last time I researched on a school's strictness, the only thing you'd get suspended for would be for bringing knives, drugs, alcohol, hitting a teacher or any staff/student, having a fight or bringing any other type of inappropriate or not-for-school object. Now you get suspended for taking a bite on some treat? well that's just plain stupid, the staff of that school is owned by schizophrenic people.
I would have told my mom & my dad about that suspension and I would have been changed to another school immediately. Jesus Christ. Oh and Nater, next time be sure you get on a decent school.
I agree that the suspension was quite overplayed. However, you did admit just now that you STOLE the item, then returned it.
technically since he returned the item before leaving the line he didn't actually steal anything. Even if he was acting like that was his intent. So basically this would be a suspension for thinking about doing something wrong.

He admitted to stealing the item himself. While I absolutely agree with you that putting it back before leaving the line would technically absolve him from committing the crime, the crime WAS there.
My question was how did they KNOW that he was thinking of stealing it? Were he to simply pick up an item with the intent to purchase it, think twice and return it to its place, no one wouldve been the wiser. The fact that they suspended him for "stealing" an item implies that he was either vocalizing his intentions, which would make him the WORST thief ever, or his school lunch moniters have some sort of mind reading abilities.
Therefore, my conclusions to: A) not steal again, because hes horrible at it B)find a school without mind-reading teachers
