I stole a bite size rice krispies treat from the lunch line and i put it back and they saw me put it back they gave me a suspension for that. The treat was never concealed and I never brought It out of the lunch line. I was also pulled off the football team. Was this an okay suspension? To harsh? More punishment? Only a little less punishment? I just want this cleared up. Opinion are nice to hear.

With respect, not with ape parents (ape meaning they go psyco, not resemble monkeys or apes in any other way)

i wouldn't think taking a treat from the lunch line then deciding you didn't want it is punishable. why would you get in trouble for that. you could just say you forgot that it was in your hand when you were going then put it back. i have been looking for something for a long time just to realize that it was in my hand. i know its stupid but to me it happens

I live in PA and my friend took a cup of nacho cheese right past the lunch ladies without paying. The only thing that happened was the lunch lady turned to the other lady next to her and said "That guy just walked out with some cheese!"

Nothing happened to him and he acctually stole something. Sounds like your school has some serious problems.

He admitted to stealing the item himself. While I absolutely agree with you that putting it back before leaving the line would technically absolve him from committing the crime, the crime WAS there.

The fact that they suspended him for "stealing" an item implies that he was either vocalizing his intentions, which would make him the WORST thief ever, or his school lunch moniters have some sort of mind reading abilities.

It doesn't matter, the actual act wasn't carried out. He hadn't gotten to check out yet so the treat can't be counted as stolen. Just like how in a department store they can't charge you with theft until after you walk out with an item. It's doesn't matter if you are looking shading or walking around yelling "I'm stealing this" while waving something in the air over your head.

@MageGrayWolf:

I absolutely agree with you, Mage. I actually believe there is more to the story than we know about. I mean, honestly...look at what we were told about the "crime" and the punishment received. They are so non-related that Stalin would find this one unfair. There HAS to be more to it than this. No school, midevil or otherwise, would kick someone off of the football team and suspend them for picking something up and putting it down again. If that were the case, it would be suspensions for nearly everyone at one point or another.

Considering some of the things I have seen school administration pull on students I wouldn't be surprised at all.
For instance at the high school I went to this one girl was nearly suspended, revoked the right to walk on graduation and arrested for indirectly knowing someone who committed a crime on school grounds. The school principle was making **** up that she was involved because of this indirect association she had with the person who did it. In truth she wasn't even there when it happened and only heard about it through someone else. It wasn't even that she was that sort who would be involved either she was like a honor roll type. I can't remember what exactly happened, it may have been vandalism or something to that effect.

Can you say "retarded"? That was idiotic. I would change schools and tell your current administration to screw themselves.

That's classy.
