I don't know about the blood one. I mean I'm Catholic and I haven't heard anything about that before. Where did you hear that?

I believe it is necessary to get baptized to go to heaven. Getting baptized leaves a permanent mark on your soul, it is sanctifying grace. Sanctifying grace is where God imprints a part of himself into you. This grace is a free undeserved gift that God gives you upon things like baptism and confirmation. Thus giving you the holy spirit and the ability to go to heaven.

well you don't see heavens light coming from the water and all preist do is just say this water has been blessed by god ect. ect.

So what you are saying is that in order for something to be holy, heavens light has to be coming out of it?

That is ridiculous!

The priest just doesn't say "this water has been blessed by God"

Im not exactly sure what the blessing is that the priests say, but they are basically praying for God to make it a holy symbol of cleansing and life.

Im sure if you look up the blessing priests say, it will explain more...

You half right xgamer. It is not like light coming out of the water, but it is not just some ordinary drinking water. The holy water is blessed, but not in a way that light comes out of it. Do you kinda get it?

So, in order for it to be holy it must be physically changed?

Let me ask you something DonkeyKong13

When you were confirmed, im saying confirmed because i doubt you remember your baptism, were you physically changed? i think not... But, im sure you felt a mental/spiritual change.

It is not the words themselves, it is the meaning behind the words that is important

Romans: The Gift Of God Is Everlasting Life.

No, I Don't Think You'd Need To Be Baptized To Go To Heaven, Just Forgive Your Sins When You Die. :P
