There is a rumbling sound and the sound of several clicks almost immediately after the white flower is removed.
I guess the only way to tell if you're right, now, is to try the door or something....

Otihand walks up the stairs and tries the back door. He turns the hand-shaking knob and there is a clicking sound...


Then, with a loud creaking noise, the door swings open, granting you entrance to the house.
