If you have heard the story of 2 saudi men travelling on an american plane who got kicked off for speaking arabic then you will think the same as me. Why did they do that? is it just that people are biased about this? also, they were asked to move seats many times till one pulled out his diplomatic pasport. then, they got kicked off.i really dont see why this is happening. it makes no sense to kick off saudi diplomats off a plane because they were speaking arabic. now imagine how i, asa saudi, and many others reacted to this response. next thing you know, you'll be kicked off a plane for wearing a scarf around youre hair(only applies to muslim women)! I think that this has gone too far. why dont they accept saudi's and muslims as normal people i wouldlike to know?
oh, and i think that it isnt fear thought of by the people. its more that Bush said Saudi Arabia is one of the 7 axis of terror that got people well and truly scared
You can never be too safe but they are passed paranoid. If they can get past security without trouble and they are diplomats then they shouldn't be booted, just supervised or watched

Lol? They shouldn't be supervised or watched at all! Getting past security (hopefully) means they aren't having any intentions to harm or sabotage native areas. Ever hear of the Red Scare and McCarthyism? Yeeeeah....

Look, I don't care who they are, diplomats or just some random Arabic speaking people. They had a right to go on the plane just like anyone else. That being said, however, if they sit next to each other, start speaking Arabic, and can obviously speak English, since they were diplomats, obviously people are going to get nervous.
Lets put you in that situation. You are sittin on a large plane with around 200 other passengers. Two people who are of Arabic descent walk on to the plane together. They are speaking in a language you don't understand and they sit down right next to eachother. What is your mind automatically? I start thinking of 9/11 where seemingly normal Arabic people walk onto a plane and start talking in Arabic and, once you are in the air for a while, they jump up and take control of the plane, then they fly you into a building or a field, which kills you instantly.
I am sorry, but as it has been said, you don't do that with all of the prejudices in America today. Get on a plane. Sure, go right ahead. Sit next to each other. Fine, just as long as you don't start to speak in... oh crap there they go. Even if these prejudices are unfairly placed, they are still there and, in this case, were acted upon.
they're unfair (the prejudices)... but they do kind of make sense... where are most of the terrorists from? it would make anybody somewhat nervous if this happened on their plane.. but the airliners had no right kicking them off the plane

Yeah, that's your psychology kicking in. However, remember that everyone is a person and should be treated as such. Should you not trust a couple of people based on past circumstances, then you should also not trust the majority based on past circumstances as well. I personally would not be shocked at all--not until the actual scare goes down. You cannot tell who is planning to terrorize, but until they actually do it, you must give them equal respect, as much as an ordinary, standard citizen.

Of course, by the time it all goes down, you are going to be speeding through the air, several miles above the Earth and when that plane that you are in flies head-first into a mountain because you did't take an initiative against a potential threat to your well being, you are going to be as dead as the rest. Bye-bye, no more you, or your ideals, your hopes for the future, nada. You are DEAD. Get that? Good.

It dosent seem the shock will end for quite a time.

first of all, mountains arent seven miles in the air.and planes fly much higher than that.

dude, you dont need to be like that. the chances of that happening are 5 to 6.3 billion
Well, ever since that 9/11 incident happened... people are afraid & angry with the Saudi's or whatever...
Well, I say it's unfair to get kicked off from a plane by who you are. It's undemocratic.., and it's stupid. Just check them more precisely, and take them to the plane, so nothing will happen with any terrorism...
