If you have heard the story of 2 saudi men travelling on an american plane who got kicked off for speaking arabic then you will think the same as me. Why did they do that? is it just that people are biased about this? also, they were asked to move seats many times till one pulled out his diplomatic pasport. then, they got kicked off.i really dont see why this is happening. it makes no sense to kick off saudi diplomats off a plane because they were speaking arabic. now imagine how i, asa saudi, and many others reacted to this response. next thing you know, you'll be kicked off a plane for wearing a scarf around youre hair(only applies to muslim women)! I think that this has gone too far. why dont they accept saudi's and muslims as normal people i wouldlike to know?
Of course, by the time it all goes down, you are going to be speeding through the air, several miles above the Earth and when that plane that you are in flies head-first into a mountain because you did't take an initiative against a potential threat to your well being, you are going to be as dead as the rest. Bye-bye, no more you, or your ideals, your hopes for the future, nada. You are DEAD. Get that? Good.
I get that, however, since you have no idea, prior to your demise what those people are going to do, you would be just as dead as anyone else.
Your point? If you hold a scare for a group of people, you must also hold a scare for the rest. Otherwise, it's borderline prejudice and your suspicions crumble faster than a dry sugar cookie. Yeah, that's only a couple things that middle eastern people have done that was invasive. Think about the things WE have done. I'm never going to Germany, China, Vietnam, Iraq, or Afghanistan EVER! I'm afraid if I go there, there will be a bunch of American soldiers that will open fire on anyone regarding false bases!
Psychological scares. It's detrimental to our well-being, no?
Exactly, fear. Let me ask you a question. How many times have you jumped, as when frightened, at something which you had no rational reason to be frightened of? I'm guessing that you, like every other human, does it rather frequently. It's a defense mechanism which is based purely on assumption and inaccurate information. Sure, 999 times out of 1000 (just making up a number that seems close) there is nothing to be frightened of. But that 1 time that there is, well then you may have just saved your life.
It is a similar psychological state in America today. We have been attacked by, and are still under attacks and threats of attacks, by extremists of Middle Eastern descent. Sure, 999 out of 1000 are perfectly civil, law abiding world citizens and we have nothing to fear from them. But they raise our suspicion and cause that knee-jerk reaction which is based on assumption and inaccurate information. However we have had many of those 1 in 1000 instances where that knee-jerk reaction has saved lives. Until that stops happening, and we learn that our assumptions are completely false, not just 99.9% false, then they will stop.

that knee jerk action should have stopped some time ago. its not like anyone saudi has attacked the US recently or within 2 years
The OP doesn't give much information, but here it goes anyway.
The passengers and or pilot could have been a little scared, do to what sounds like the very image of the terrorist they have branded into their heads. Do the the fact that they were "Asked to be moved" several times, I would assume that it was in fact the passengers who were afraid. Assuming that the air company was a private business, they probably have the right to refuse serves to anyone. So assuming that they got a full refund, I doubt this will be a legal problem. Still assuming that it was primarily the other passengers who were uncomfortable, it would be logical for the business owners to kick him off, refunding only the two tickets, rather than letting whoever was scared get there refunds. The destination of the flight, size of the plane, and price of tickets, also assuming do to the multiple relocation that at least 25% of the passengers where uncomfortable enough to leave the plane, you are looking at a loss of possibly several thousand dollars rather than a few hundred if you are using this method.
not really. they are-in my eyes- normal men or women out to find work in another country. if the passengers are scared of a shaved face or a bit of stubble i strongly advise they go to a mental hospital or get counselling

Actually, if my memory serves me correctly, we have apprehended people of Middle Eastern descent attempting to commit acts of terrorism against mass transit modes just within the past 6 months or so, the most recent being in the UK. You have to look not only at the acts which have been carried out, but the acts which have been thwarted as well.
And I agree with them being kicked off the plan actually, if you make a large percentage of people feel uncomfortable or scared you get kicked out so the business so they company doesn't lose money. The Arabs should've cut their beard and spoke english in an American airline, that's just common sense. Something those Arabs didn't appear to have.
Why did they do that?
Laughs at pratchu. That was the most idiotic question I've ever seen. That answers it's self. Rascism and being biast. Man idiots shouldn't post.
why dont they accept saudi's and muslims as normal people i wouldlike to know?
I've been corrected that's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. The answer can be answered in three numbers: 9/11
People are afraid that anyone that looks like they were from the middle east are terrorists. That's why they aren't accepted obviously.
uh, no. they talked to the airline lady in english. plus, they were diplomats gaboloth, so they have no right to kick them off for that. and one of them was a judge.
Darn, you'd think a judge would have the sense not to look Arabic and to speak English on an American airline or to just not speak.
It used to be this freedom that separated the United States from the rest of the world,
Rediculous. Just plain rediculous, when has America ever been judged on freedom? And not being corrupt, biast, rascist, war mongers, arrogant, ignorant, and greedy, etc...
being scared of middle easterners? cause that got started when the twin towers got hit....
Strange. I thought that started when they strapped on bombs to themselves and started screaming and running into buildings blowing things up, including themselves.
Lol? They shouldn't be supervised or watched at all! Getting past security (hopefully) means they aren't having any intentions to harm or sabotage native areas. Ever hear of the Red Scare and McCarthyism? Yeeeeah....
All the plane hijackers in history got past security, so it doesn't mean that if you pass security you shouldn't be watched and that you mean no harm. And if the people are Middle Eastern looking, I'd take a special discreet interest into watching them.
they're unfair (the prejudices)... but they do kind of make sense...
I agree with hat

Well said
first of all, mountains arent seven miles in the air.and planes fly much higher than that.
He's not talking about mountains Einstein. He's talking about the world trade centers. And planes don't fly higher than a few miles in the air when their landing or going to slam into a building.
dude, you dont need to be like that. the chances of that happening are 5 to 6.3 billion
Oh I think it's fair to be like that and I doubt the chances are 5 to 6.3 billion. Where do you get your figures?
