Hey all minecrafters! I feel the need to fire up more discussion in here because minecraft is such an awesome game to discuss! So to get this show on the road and the thread bumped back to the first page, here's the discussion topic:
What's your building material of choice? When building a structure? Do you prefer to make your buildings out of planks? Cobble? Stone? Stone Bricks? Begular bricks? Wool? Sandstone? Glass? Leaves? Or are you boring and make your houses our of dirt? Or would you say it depends on what you're building? Like maybe a castle should be built out of cobble or stone bricks instead of planks. Or do you just dig a hole in the side of a hill and forget about making fancy houses?
And how about your interior decor? I'm curious as to what other people use to spice up their houses so I can get ideas for my own place. I usually just throw in a few bookshelves, maybe a brick fireplace, and some paintings here and there so my place can have a cozy log-cabin feel.

Wow... no fair...

Wood planks, easy to get, easy to place/remove, looks great, comes in multiple shades, what more could you want? Of course they burn, which can be a problem. I usually build my houses out of them if I decide to not just dig into the side of a mountain.
Yup. I'm a craftee (I vote that "craftee" be the new word for anyone who is a mincraft geek.)

Yup, wood planks are pretty good. And the fact that they burn can be a good thing when you don't have coal for your furnace handy.
Cobblestone and glass, if I could afford it, bricks.

That's usually what I do, but on rare occasions I build a nice house, usually mostly made of cobble and glass, if I feel rich enough I'll make the floors wood planks.

If I'm feeling fancy then I'll usually make two lava falls flowing into each other with a painting over it and smooth stone slabs keeping in the lava, then I'll usually put dimond blocks for the wall that all that is on, it looks really nice. Also when I have a pool I usually put lapiz on the interior and bottom to make it look more blue and fancy.

Ahh that brings back memories of when I made my house out of watermelon blocks and then started to get too lazy to hunt for food...
