Now I've been seeing a lot of negativity about the greatest country on earth, home of doughboys and applepies and moms and the City that Never Sleeps, and why is that? C'mon, can't the haters stop hating, and we all just love the USA? Lets just look at who could be around today, controlling the world, if it wasn't for America.
Monarchs
The Kaiser
Santa Anna
Der Fuhrer
Emperor Hirohito
Mikhail Gorbachev
Saddam Hussein
if it wasn't for america, you might be looking like one of those guys!
Truth is truth, powerful people bent it to their wills deforming into something else that suit them more. Though democracy doesn't have to be bent so far since it already serves their purposes.
Why the United States has survived as long as it has. Hopefully it stays that way. Socialism + Communism, stay out of our faces.
I'm willing to bet your don't know the first thing about socialism or communism except untruths you were force fed. If you hate something for no reason, then you don't really hate it and if you continue to think so your delusional.
....Well... some patriots have posted, some jealous foreigners have posted, and some traitors to America have posted. Just wanted to share with you all the god ****ed president of the god ****ed world, a true man of the people, one who signifies FREEDOM in every way imaginable...
@ChillzMater lol, seriously are you not trolling? You post about how totally awesome something else and everyone else should snivel in front of it and you expect, hater no to hate?, pointers to make a point and people to post?
And its exactly that attitude thats the cause of why America has lasted as long as it has. Has America ever been defeated? No. Has America ever been bested? No. Has America ever been sent physically reeling from another Nation's actions? No. No. NO!
Um... umm... VIETNAM WAR
And, I have to quote myself, since no USA freak answered.
Also, remember of the other 9/11, when USA supported Pinochet's coup d'etat destroying a democratic government, just because it was socialist.
ChillzMaster, what the heck is wrong with you? America is far from being as great as you claim it to be. Let's take a look at the people who first came to America. They came over here, and they saw the Native Americans. Did the future Americans recognize the Natives as having already claimed America? Nope. You know what we did? We killed them and took their land. The Natives weren't given full citizenship until 1924. And we can't forget that we sailed over to Africa and captured blacks. We destroyed their villages, sailed them over to the US, and separated them from their families. As for this depressing excuse of a "resident." So far, I have seen him do nothing whatsoever. Watch the news. He has a vacation virtually every two weeks. Aside from that, it is very unlikely that he is a US citizen. Why else would he not allow us to see the original copy of his birth certificate? If he gave it to us, this would be over and done with. Nope, because he is not an American. I could go on all day about America. As for you, I have no idea. You seem to be very blind when it comes to this country. I don't understand people like you who put so much effort into supporting this sad excuse of a country. As for me, I am a natural-born US citizen. I have a strong dislike towards this country. I say I'm moving to Canada.
As for this depressing excuse of a "resident." . . . it is very unlikely that he is a US citizen. Why else would he not allow us to see the original copy of his birth certificate?
The USA is a nation made of migration. Why should it matter where a person was born if they identify themselves as a proud American? Why are immigrants to America treated as second class citizens? (Please note that I do not for a second believe the slander that Obama was born outside the national borders of the USA).
On another note, why are those people convicted of felonies denied the vote? Doesn't this send them the message that they no longer belong to the society in which they live, that they are outlaws, and thus why should they ever bother (apart from fear of further punishment) to behave responsibly towards and in the society that has rejected them?
Yes, all systems have their flaws. My point was not that your system had flaws, my point was that your system was in no way superior to other countries' systems.
So, even though the USSR killed millions of their own people, its on an equal stage to American Democracy?
Very true, but if we are going to call ourselves the "Greatest Country on Earth" we should at least know the rulers of some of the countries we are competing against.
Minor Details to the common man, when all someone has to do is press a button. And not to quote 'Baron Munchaussen', but:
"All you have to do is press a button. And this fine weapon here will go and kill all your enemies. And all their cats, and all their dogs, and parakeets, and every little last one of them, gone!"
So, even though the USSR killed millions of their own people, its on an equal stage to American Democracy?
Let me rephrase my statement.
Yes, all systems have their flaws. My point was not that your system had flaws, my point was that your system was in no way superior to ALL other countries' systems.
Of course there are many countries with worse systems, but being better than the worst does not necessarily make you the best.
And I have no idea of how your reply to the other quote is in any way relevant.
Honestly now, Americans think they own the world. Some day something is going to happen, hopefully nothing catastrophic, that shows the US OF A who we really are.
