I think that pretty much everything should be individualized...but that's far too much work on the parent's end...
Really, no one is the same. You can't treat everyone the same, although there is a norm. I think it's the parent's job to decide whether the kid is mature enough to do something, or to do it with supervision, or should wait. There are people i've seen, who at over 20 years of age, I would have if I had just been listening to their words, and not looking at them, mistaken them for a 8-10 year old in how they acted. Age is not a determinant factor, although it is a common one.
So, no, they should not be banned unless they are not mature enough to handle things that they might encounter, or should have a parent watching them if it's borderline.
I don't think they should. The Internet is a free place where anyone can use it. There are kid-friendly sites around here and the internet should not just be limited to 13 year olds or 18 year olds and up.
no. That's kinda of a non-freedom rule. It teaches them about the real world. And if parents don't like it, then they should just stop their own child and not care about the other children.
Uhhhhh, no. If anything it should be up to the guardians, not the government. And plus, that's what ratings on video games, and sites are for, to alert parents that that site doesn't suit the age of their child. I think it's fine to let 11 and under to be on the internet. What, you don't think there is some on ArmorGames? Trust me, there is.
Why is it against the law for under 13s to have accounts? I just thought it was something the admins decided.
Ag is not allowed to keep the emails of anyone under the age of 13, which means they are unable to help recovering the password of a user under that age. It is simply easier to not allow them on the site than going over the trouble with that and having the parents consent to the use.
so that we can ban them for not only breaking the rules but also forcing AG to break the law.
Is it really a law? When i wasn't 13 yet i wanted to play neopets so badly that i just said i was much older haha:P
Lying is so easy on the internet..
But i think people under 11 shouldn't be banned from the internet. With very young children you can try to put a lock on inappropiate sites, but most of the time they won't even think of it and only go to sites with lots of games.
Yeah, my friend's older brother (who is in college) was looking at porn and somehow my friend's 3 year old brother got onto it and watched a porn video. Man was my friend's older brother in trouble.
Oh, please do state the names of these individuals so that we can ban them for not only breaking the rules but also forcing AG to break the law.
Aren't under children under 13 allowed on here, not to have accounts, but to play games? I've seen lots of them playing Exit Path or Fancy Pants or something. :/ Anyways, people under 11 should be allowed on the internet. If their parents are reasonably worried, they can place restrictions.
oh god please no why would you do that i mean parent can put resctrictions on the comp or check the history to see what they been on (or if they are smart enough to erase it) but still i was playingstar craft at age 4 and lookin for playthrough guides at age 4 1/12 so no do not belive they are not but still they should ask there parents if the site requires and age restriction right? BUt finall verdict no they should. How ever xbox live no thats a different story my fellow ag users
