A good topic

Your favs songs are the ones you like the most

I never really liked Blind Guardian (dunno exactly why) besides The Regents cover Barbara Ann, the instrumental Gandalf's Rebirth (cause i like Tolkien) and The Bard's Song (in the forest) kinda their anthem. But their new album At The Edge Of Time is a boom =P for the first time i like a BG album ... yiaaaaaay

Now i realize their first albums sound like early Helloween and Stratovarius (speed metal) maybe is cause of that ... hahaha (so harsh to me)

I gonna share only albums i like (therefore bands) you can search more if you like the style. Doesnt mean the other albums are so awesome XD lol (was a joke... matter of tastes)

Still Loving You
Galneryus - neoclassical/power (Japan)
Resurrection

Highlights are their guitarrist Syu (Animetal, and other bands i dont know) Syu vs Liimatainen and the overall talented sound they bring.

The Moon
Dark Moor - neoclassical/power (Spain)
Tarot

Highlights are the orchestration that actually brings some tension and why not a tribute to the artistic music.

pakkolasku
Stam1na [alternative/thrash/heavy] Finland
Viimeinen Atlantis (2010)

The use of Finnish and their mixed thrash-groove sound kinda related to modern metal, but enjoyable.

r.i.p.
Coroner [technical thrash] Switzerland
R.I.P. (1987)

Being their LP debut is noteworthy the amazing technical guitar work.

Well, I recently found this amazing metal band on Spotify, called "Hail the Villain". I hadn't heard of them before, which is weird because they're really, really, really, really good and deserve to be famous.

Here's the YouTube link to one of their songs;

Mettalica is deffinetaly the best Metal Band. They have intense fast guitar songs like Master OF Puppets. They also have slower sad songs like "One" and "Nothing Else Matters" They are awsome, and they are soon going to go back to the studio to make a new albums. They have the best Metal Vocalist in the buisness, James Hetfield. They also have the best drummer. Lars Ulrich. No other metal band comes close to their songs. If you dont believe me, listen to one of those songs.

metallica, sucks.
if they are the best, how can they have 3 bad albums while other bands have none? and if u say the are Metal Gods, u consider these to be godly music?
LISTEN TO MEGADETH PEOPLE!!!!

btw, i really like Hail the Villain, they got a lot of talent. they will probably be famous in 10 years

hey fav band is currently in debate. it will go to either Iron Maiden (Up The Irons forever!), Megadeth, or Gamma Ray. opinions on those three?

I listen to mostly hardcore stuff (Born of Osiris, Suicide Silence).. i dont know if thats considered metal. But i said i didnt like Iron Maiden, Megadeth or Gamma Ray, I'll expound on that.

Iron Maiden: the singers voice kinda bothers me, i dont really know why

Megadeth: the songs seem repetitive to me, i get kinda bored listening

Gamma Ray: I dont really hate these guys, but i dont like them either...

In Extremo is great ....

You should try VAN CANTO its a bunch of people who SING metal songs .... a cappella style they only have a percussion everything else is sung
they did some great covers of famous songs like wishmaster(nightwish),master of puppets(metallica) and fear of the dark (iron maiden) but they also have a lot of great songs written by themselves

other great bands :
ensiferum(finland) - melodic death metal with some folk elements
eluveitie(switzerland) - Folk metal
gojira(france) - death metal

and just btw an ridiculous long song name :
Papyrus Containing The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water - by Nile (american) death metal

Dream Theater. Ayreon. Iron Maiden. Stryper. Whitecross.

On a side note: both Metallica and Megadeth are horrible.

thank you NontroppO for keeping this alive.

Black Dragon is an epic song. awesome vocal intro so the song. supa fast and strong, just like mom used to make. really awesome vocal harmony. truly mind blowing guitar solo. The Mad Sailor is also excellent. does the name mean mad as in crazy, or mad as in aggravated? if the lyrics answer that im srry, i just cant tell what he saying at some parts.

also note:
i found ma fav Blind Guardian song =D
The Edge - A Twist Of The Myth (2007)

Blind Guardian.. *sigh*. My absolute favourite album of their's is Nightfall in Middle Earth, almost all songs are great and they maintain a certain kind of atmosphere throughout the album, it's beautiful.

I just found out about a certain german group, Mantus (Gespenster, a song of the album Demut), that is a bit metal-ish, I guess rather progressive. What do you think of it? Personally their singer is not the best but it sound quite ok. I only listened to the album Demut up to now though.

I guess is about being crazy cause of the world.

"The Meaning of Life, well I don't really care
Though this could be the last time we come up for air"

"I will dance on the gunwhale, as the ship's going down
I will write no solemn epitaphs
For a world that's gone insane"

There are not regrets for your life.
