God reminds me of Big Brother, from "1984". He is the supposed advocate of truth and all that is good. He puts fear into the masses with the acts of Goldstein. He watches the people all the time, and those who do not follow his ways face severe punishment. And in the end, nobody has ever seen Big Brother, and the things he does or advocates, are simply the manipulations of the leaders of the party.
If you analyze things, you can see that God is more of a dictator than a loving father, and the devil is more of a revolutionary than Prince of darkness. I'd be a satanist, if I weren't too stupid to believe in the devil.
