It's funny how your almost never born atheist, you become atheist. I personally think the whole religion thing is far fetched. Why cant we just be dead after we die? Why does there HAVE to be an afterlife? Dont get me wrong i respect others decisions, I just don't believe in it, who's with me? I'm going to be some grass fertilizer one day And home to some maggots + worms.

Because I have faith, and how can you prove evolution its mapped out but on such shaky grounds, you should try listening to Kent Hovind sometimes, he will elaborate.

Prove evolution? Easy thing. Shaky ground? That sounds like religion. Kent Hovind? Don't know that man, but in return I recommend you warmly to read Richard Dawkin's 'Unweaving the Rainbow'. It won't answer many questions you might have, but he has very interesting point of views about how to look at things, and if you're open-minded enough it will definitely enrich and broaden your horizon, whether you agree with him or not.

I have been a lot happier without god. so nyah >:P

I find it ****** that we have such colorful people on "our side". We have a former religious person, happier turning to Science (or turning away from Religion, ), we have a kid raised to be open-minded and suspicious of what people tell you (me), and then we have the most resourceful dude in the planet.

Hell a yeah.

you talk about shaky grounds and then you base your beliefs on faith, I think that's called a contradiction?

Annnd so Lemi went to the forest to hunt - away from the village. Thou't believe that he was wrong, and so he was.
Chapter 16: Verse 3.

As the people rallied, starving for food, they righteously travelled into the forest neighbouring their peaceful community, to hunt.
Chapter 22: Verse 8.

No, that's not true, no, it's not from the Bible, it's just a stupid example of what it can often show.

Please don't tell me to turn to god because he will save me or whatever. It sort of freaks me out.

It really does as well. Realize only psychopaths offer to save your soul from ****ation when in movies.

Otherwise the good guys are saving kids from a burning building.

By the way, can anyone tell me why I can't believe the Flying Spaghetti Monster and be taken seriously?

If you don't believe him you will burn in GRAVVYYYYY!!!
Mmm... Wouldn't be too bad actually.

Yeah. I don't go to people and say "Be an atheist or you will fall over a cliff!"
And I think the flying spaghetti monster is an excellent faith.

for you religious people saying "if we all die and nothing happens whats the point in life???" DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ABOUT YOU??? i mean come on! we live to support our future generations and procede in technology, knowledge, better life styles! of course theres no GOD! if a "god" created the universe then "god" never existed because all matter that excists now, later, and before all began at the START of the universe... and always will be... and for the religious people saying "god is omnipresent, he's in another dimension" ... shut up... just shut up and sit down.

Bud uhn tiss!

I love this example, saying god is real is no different than saying the flying spaghetti monster is real. Some might even say the flying spaghetti monster is real, its just a matter of faith.

Truly, this be the way we Pastafarians must busy our hands when we pray.

The more fervent our prayers, the more wiggly must our noodly fingers be.

Suitable example and suitable reply, nice

It's theorized that the Big Bang was all dimensions, including the three we go in (Up down left right forward back) and the other alternate 11 we cannot interactive with, along with time and space, were all the same thing. If "God did it", he literally ripped himself apart, congrats. Now, I just spend 146 seconds explaining this because I accidently deleted the same thing being said and had to retype it, and now its 165 seconds. I want my time back.

I might be able to if I spent more than 2 minutes on my longest posts, actually gathering sources and laying it out in a methodical way. However, I just don't have the will like Mage does to spend that much time on a gaming forum talking to people who dodge answers repeatedly. Still interesting to read through all of the links given however ;D

By the way, what does the bottom fish have written on it? In my ignorance of different languages it looks like Greek, but I really have no idea.

It's Greek for fish more commonly spelled ichthus. The symbolic meaning for each initial is "Jesus Christ God's son Savior".
