It's funny how your almost never born atheist, you become atheist. I personally think the whole religion thing is far fetched. Why cant we just be dead after we die? Why does there HAVE to be an afterlife? Dont get me wrong i respect others decisions, I just don't believe in it, who's with me? I'm going to be some grass fertilizer one day And home to some maggots + worms.
How do we know God's idea of everlasting happiness is not all of humanity bowing down to him for eternity?
Well what would be the point of that? why give us free will and then make us do stuff? If he wanted humanity to bow down to him he would've done it from the begining.

I don't know, your the Christian, you tell us. The heaven is often mentioned as being a place where you can bow down to Yahweh, apparently without any free will.
We "don't" have free will according to the bible, it's extremely contradictory. The amount of "free will" listed in the bible is do what god says, or burn forever.
Well wouldn't you be grateful to the one who gave you an eternity of happiness? Besides i'm sure heavan is a place where we have free will. Just remember that the old testement was writtin BY MAN. and extremist men at that. So you shouldn't take it literally and definetly shouldn't assume that christians all christians do too. God loves us as that is also often mentioned and i'm sure you don't like to hurt the people that you love.
@ Dair So you are saying that we SHOULD'NT take the bible literally, though everyone has been proclaiming it the ultimate truth? Huh. Where does it say that God loves us? In the Bible that we shouldn't take literally?
If your God doesn't like/want to hurt people then he should of done a few things:
A. Gave Adam and Eve knowledge of good/evil BEFORE they ate the forbidden fruit. B. Not sent floods, plagues and various other forces of destruction to kill thousands of people and animals when he could surely of used gentler means. C. Not sent a bear to maul children. D. Not allowed people to be condemned to suffer in hell for all eternity without any chance of escape.
Well wouldn't you be grateful to the one who gave you an eternity of happiness?
Perhaps, but not if he was torturing others, and I wouldn't sing to him 24/7.
Besides i'm sure heavan is a place where we have free will.
What would make you think that?
Just remember that the old testement was writtin BY MAN.
So is the NT. So is every holy book. The gods are inventions of man, so this makes sense.
So you shouldn't take it literally and definetly shouldn't assume that christians all christians do too
So don't listen to what it says, listen to what you want it to say?
God loves us as that is also often mentioned and i'm sure you don't like to hurt the people that you love.
So why does he have a hell (Which is only referenced in the NT, since you seem to ignore the OT)? It doesn't make since if he doesn't want to heart anyone.
A. Gave Adam and Eve knowledge of good/evil BEFORE they ate the forbidden fruit.
Actually, I believe that Christianity teaches that it's the Tree of Knowledge, and good and evil comes because of Knowledge. Go figure that knowing anything is taught to be bad.
Ahhhh! Too much! Why is Christianity hated? I don't hate Atheism. I respect it. And i think there belife is fine because it doesn't directly hurt people so whats so bad about christianity? We're told not to kill, lie, steal, and after a few exteremists all 3 billion of us are wrong? harsh.
Millions of deaths? Huge negative sway in politics? Holding back science? All very good reasons.
I don't hate Atheism
But your god does, he apparently wants to torture all atheists.
And i think there belife is fine because it doesn't directly hurt people so whats so bad about christianity?
It hurts people. Not so hard, is it?
We're told not to kill, lie, steal, and after a few exteremists all 3 billion of us are wrong? harsh.
You are also told to stone, ****, and pillage. I don't see how getting told those kinds of things are good things. And a "few extremists"? Whole nations have been driven to huge holy wars do to your religion. That isn't a few extremists.

Pfft, get over your stupid complex, we don't hate you as people - we merely think your beliefs are founded upon inaccuracies and falsehoods and that the world'd be a much better place if you threw that silly ol' book away. Christianity was responsible for the Crusades as well as a number of other persecutions against people for what they believed. Anyway, if you need to have a religion as some sort of moral compass, I question whether you're really fit to be a member of the human race.
One point - only radicals believe that bible is PENULTIMATE TRUTH. Many believe it is just (special and holy, but still) book, written by a man, with HELP of God... Actually, to paraphrase, all you guys are just killing yourself over if having imaginary friend is cooler than not having
Have you read the new testament? Not all of christianity is about killing non-christans. In fact at my masses i'm encouraged to love the non-christians. Alot of this was mostly in the past and christianity has changed since then. Especially on jesus's arrival of the new testament.
1. It's not like you spend eternity bowing to him. You live in whatever everlasting happiness is.
That's just what the Bible says we do in heaven though.
A. Gave Adam and Eve knowledge of good/evil BEFORE they ate the forbidden fruit. B. Not sent floods, plagues and various other forces of destruction to kill thousands of people and animals when he could surely of used gentler means. C. Not sent a bear to maul children. D. Just say "your forgiven" instead of requiring a human sacrifice.
Not all of christianity is about killing non-christans
Nope, just a good half of it.
In fact at my masses i'm encouraged to love the non-christians.
Does love mean stones in your language?
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.
There is a fine example of showing your Christian love to other religions.
Alot of this was mostly in the past and christianity has changed since then
So your god just changed his mind about killing people? I thought your god was supposed to be unchanging?
Especially on jesus's arrival of the new testament.
Jesus himself said that he isn't here to abolish the old laws, so in his own words nothing had changed.
