What is nothing? Empty space is a vacuum, or a void. Nothing is also an idea. And in math, 0 represents nothing, but it's still a number. A number is something; so is an idea. So if nothing is nothing, then is it a word?
(If anyone says that nothing is "the presence of absence", include an explanation.)
nothing is just the absence of something, i thin, at least that's how we refer to it, i mean, if you have an empty room, what do most people say? they say, there is nothing in this room.
There is air in the room! I never use the word nothing, its irrelevant. Nothing does not exist in the universe. Nothing is a collective term. It means the absence of everything. To say that a room has nothing means that there is an absence of anything and everything. The word confuses itself and cancelles itself out.
@nemo12 That's if you take the world ridiculously absolutely. In the English language and any other language is has a clear and definite meaning, which given context makes perfect sense.
This is all so confusing? nothing is..... There is no nothing, since air is something and vacuum is something theres no such thing as nothing and wherever you go there will be something.
