How bout absolutely nothing? The only thing that's happening is some huge solar cycle is going to start over. The myan's calendar is cyclical, so it just happened to end on that date, because it started over again. This has been blown waaaayy out of proportion.
On the same token, there is supposed to be a solar maximum in 2012, so the entire Earth MIGHT be hit with basically a huge EMP blast. We lose power and communication for a few days, but that's it. Bring it on 2012

I must agree. Having steak fresh from the cow rather than the factory would be nice, but they're kangaroos! I think they're endangered as well, they should be protected, at least for now, so they don't get wiped off the face of the Earth.

Well, I assume most species of kangaroo aren't because of the managed system of kangaroo consumption in place. Think of it as a renewable source of meat.

Kangaroos are ubiquitious over there. Ubiquitious enough for the meat to be sold for 8-15 AUD a kilo. It's advertised as being a more environmentally suitable choice of meat.
There will be a mass suicide on new years of 2012, people will just say wtf... Then there will be crazy people throughout the year, and FINALLY December (the real predicted end of the world date.) There will be another mass suicide, and I will be sitting at homw enjoying the next 80 years
