Ok today a girl I was talking to randomly said that she was a lesbian. I asked her if anyone else knew and she said no. So what am I supposed to do since in her religion it is bad to be a lesbian.

I don't think we even have any homosexuals on here

I happen to have chatted with someone who's name I will withhold who is homosexual.

This isn't some kind of exclusive club, so there is no need to take the tone in such a way.

Do you recognize meeee?
Sorry, random. but i do agree with wolf. if her religion cant accept her for who she is, then she shouldn't be a part of them. It's ridiculous. Of course, it might be a little tough to quit a religious organization...

It can be quite a process at times.

If the religion is Christianity there are denominations where she would feel more welcomed and accepted.

It depends on the religion, the worst case scenario here is Islam, as far as I know they have no tolerance for homosexuality.

As for Christianity, I've met plenty of homosexual Christians, I have no doubt that she can easily find a sect that will accept her as she is.

I don't really see what the issue is. Did she specifically ask for guidance or assistance? If not, don't invade her life.

No offense, people don't want you to get too involved in their personal lives unless they ask you to.

QFT.

Methinks if she didn't ask for his advice, she might be more than a little upset if he brings it up again.

GAH. It cut off the rest of my post D:
Anyways, I agree with Orion.
If she didn't ask for your help, just shut up and smile.
If she did, I think she is asking for YOUR help. Not what a bunch of internet people think about her personal life. No offense.

You couldn't be nice enough to leave the man's fail in anonymity?

Nothing in the OP about her actually asking for advice, although I suppose it could be implied.

I know in my religion, that God does not hate people who sin, he hates sin, so it's a very delicate thing to deal with, but in God's eyes, it's not like she's a bad person or anything

Also, try to avoid topics on religion... atheists outnumber us like 100000000 to 1 here
