I grew up atheist for 16 years. I had always kept an open mind towards religion, but never really felt a need to believe in it. My sister started going to a Wednesday night children's program at a church. Eventually, I was dragged into a Christmas Eve service. Scoffing, I reluctantly went, assuming that this was going to be a load of crap, but when I went, I felt something. Something that I've never felt before. I felt a sense of empowerment and a sense of calling. Jesus called upon my soul, just like he did with his disciples. he wanted me to follow him. Now, my life is being lived for Christ. He died on the cross for my sins, and the sins of everyone who believes in him. He was beaten, brutalized, struck with a whip 39 times, made to carry a cross up to the stage of his death. This I believe to be true, and I can never repay him for what he has done.
I still have my struggles with Christianity, but I've found this bit of information most useful. Religion is not comprehensible in the human mind, because we cannot comprehend the idea of a perfect and supreme being, a God, but we can believe it in our heart, and that's the idea of faith. Faith is, even though everything rides against me believing in Jesus, I still believe in him because I know that it's true in my heart. I invite my fellow Brothers and sisters of the LORD to talk about how Jesus has helped you in your life. No atheists and no insults please

Ah.. er... a music video? Really? D'oh... could you actually reply to the points we make instead? That'd make more sense and would make you look less like you're totally losing the debate.
Really, please make an effort. There's a plethora of points you ignored.

to the ARMOR OF GOD CLAN:

this has to stop, only two of you ever attempt to reply to the points, and then you congratulate eachother for making ignorant/annoying/unnecessary/asinine comments. this isn't how a debate works, and all of us, who have to repeatedly tell you this, are sick of it. please respond to the points, because at this point, you've already lost the debate. what do you have left to lose?

Three, actually. KatPryde, ShinyCowBeast, and Joe96 (although he's not active on this thread)

So yeah, hats off to you three. To the others...please don't post if you're not going to actually say anything/respond to the topic at hand. Watching people regurgitate isn't pleasant, you know?

And Macfan1, really? A song? How does that prove your point in any way whatsoever?

The part where it sounds like he's saying "rolling like a liar" he's actually saying "roaring like a lion".

God's alive. Watch the video.

Proves nothing, though I will be happy to post up some music for your listen enjoyment and for the lolz.
(Warning: Some songs have nsfw language)

Christianity will Brainwash you and making you just want to be a sheep. This leaves you listening to whatever any clowns have to say. This is why I don't like fundies I prefer to listen to reason and when I do I find that God ain't floatin up in the sky. It also annoys me how so many Christians are so anti-science.
That's how you do song pwnage!

I wonder why all you people are arguing about religion? Obviously, whatever point you're trying to get across to the other side is being ignored. What is your point, anyway? I would be interested to hear it.

Because there are people on the sidelines reading this stuff. It also always us to get our own views out there and see just how well they hold up.

Good point I guess their Armor-Of-God-Clan has quit on this discussion after avoiding too many of our questions.

Main fallacy here is "Argument By Poetic Language". But there are more, i'm just not going through them again like i did on the evolution thread.

C'mon. This isn't fair. There isn't any Christians in the thread right now.

How is that not fair? If you know what you're taking about you shouldn't need anybody else on your side.

Numbers shouldn't need to count, macfan1, you're lacking common sense if you think otherwise. The validity of your argument is not determined in how many people support you (the argument many Call of Duty fans call out with), but through the reliability of your evidence / proof and the logic / reason supporting it.

I've seen your clan's work, supporting each other to "go with Christ" and whatnot -- it's quite simply pathetic, where you each issue indirect peer pressure and encouragement to stick with one's constantly debunked beliefs. You pose no counter arguments for the vast majority of points made, and when you make us raise a justification (that is often a repeat of what we've already said) you claim it to be "Keeping us on our toes" or something that deems that you've had a "Gotcha!" moment which quite frankly wouldn't mount to anything anyway.

Maybe that's a harsh jump, given what you said, but the reasons are there and being as this is one of the most popular threads (or was), it makes sense to have it here.

Of course, I do not represent anyone but myself on this matter, however I'd appreciate if anyone who does support me shown that.

Not that that would help anyways.
