Maybe you should read about World War 2 a little bit. Everyone in Nazi Germany was a Nazi.
Well not everyone had the same evil views, and some people were forced into Nazism, they might not have wanted to become a Nazi. Americans were not Nazi's because their country didn't promote it. Germans were Nazi's because their country promoted it.
Americans could have become Nazi's just as easily as the Germans did if they had the same party ruling the country.
Hitler did not force people into Nazism, he sweet talked them in. Nazis were not inherrently evil because almost nobody knew what was happening.

Correct. but Hitler had a special group of men who knew the plan and were just as evil. evil to the point of killing medics.

Also, what was the point of Hiroshima and the other Japan bombing? The USA had already basically won.
We used the atomic bomb because the Japanese said that they would fight until they all were dead. We figured that if we attacked the main Japanese isle's it would inflict VERY heavy losses on the allies. The atomic bomb was to show the Japanese that we could wipeout 500,000 people in half a second. It took close to over 1,000,000 people to die from the atomic bombs before the Japanese would surrender.
The world wars were basically Democracy vs Autocracy/Dictatorship. There are two kinds of dictatorship, Communism (Soviet Union) and Fascism (Italy and Germany).
I recently watched a compelling channel 4 documentary presented by Scottish historian Niall Ferguson. Might still be on 4od for any Brits out there. His hypothesis is that the conflicts of the 20th century were not class or ideological wars, but wars based on racialism. It sounds far-fetched but it really is quite convincing.
His basic premise, is that both the Allies and the Axis alienated the enemy, turning them into sub humans to justify the mass slaughter. This is clear in Germany of course, in Russia (the ensuing civil war after WW1 left 8 million people belonging to ethnic minorities within the USSR dead), the Brits and Americans during WW1 and 2 justified massive firebombings (and in America's case atomic bombing) by homogenising and demonising the Germans.
After seeing the show, it really did leave me with the feeling, not that it was a conflict where good Western democracy triumphed over evil authoritarianism, but a case of a lesser evil triumphing over a greater one.

No, the Allies had several sources of information indicating the mass slaughter of Jews. What we weren't willing to believe until we saw it for ourselves was the apparatus of the camps themselves. Indeed British and American commanders debated whether or not to bomb the rail links to the camps, but decided the best way to stop the killing was to commit all resources to winning the war, not to delaying the killing.
