Is it just the moment now, or are the Generations below us loosing less and less morals and views of right or wrong, and are doing things that would never be thought of by us at that age, and never done at all by our parents?

I sort of think it's always been bad, it's just that people don't notice it until they get a bit mature themselves, thus think younger generations are getting worse.

I agree. I'm starting to relize how terrible i was because i see how bad my little sister is now. Sometimes I feel bad about it.

You should see my little sister, if you've any idea of the general "chav" then hey, you just learnt all you'll need to know about my sister, congratulations, that's one more person to block on MSN.

Well tbh for her its Facebook and OH MY GOD is it annoying XD

Oh well, I guess Facebook is good for some things.

I think that it's always worse for the generations below people, but I believe it's finally gotten to the point that one of the few generations below us will cause Humanity to take a fatal toll, they are basically screwing humanity over. Then again, it often has to do with how we raise them.

Wait, we are somehow "Worse" than those before us?

Just a few generations ago, our ancestors condensed certain races in designated arias, some going as far as killing the other races. We are better than that. A few generations before that, we would conquest anything we could get our hands on, going as far as virtually committing genocide. A few generations before that, more genocide and the list goes on and on...

How are we worse than the generations "above" us? I think we have been improving.

I find that the new generations are more free and are doing more of what they want then before, and that's a win. Even if the results are bad, freedom is always a win.

How so? Its the adults that are messing with the world economy like there are no consequences, we of the younger generations are living the same as all previous young generations, just with the added threat of no economy in the future.

Some parts of our society are still terrible, moral and ethical understanding to the public being gained mostly from the community and then it's not always good influences.

Haha Mage! You stand corrected!

My point still stands.

Ideas back then weren't entirely logical though, that's a bit of a backdrop.

Yet the arguments about the youth have not changed.

BTW, something to keep in mind. Most of you are the generation below me.

We just spent the last while attempting to get this out of our minds.

Care to enlighten us, wise and noble one?

But hey, the arguments haven't changed and I don't think the situation has either - there is little being done (or not enough).

Actually that's not true, I would argue that all the active members of AG are part of Generation Y although there is a fair amount of time separating some of us we belong to the same generation.

Be sure to remember that our ideas of generations past are often not sociologically true; i.e. crime rates and teen pregnancy have been steadily decreasing for quite some time.

Our generation is a Hero Generation so there's a decent chance that we represent more social awareness, critical thinking ability, and sense of civic duty than the past three generations. Basically, we are a generation to usher in a new area of social and technological progress; to change the way our world works. The older generations afraid of change oppose this by attempting to make the past look more desirable than it really was.

Wow. Traits are starting to settle in and this is getting complicated.

To be honest if it took 2 thousand years to get to this point? We've been very slow :<

In what regard?

The Dark Ages were very detrimental to social and scientific progress and WWII slowed economic and governmental changes.

To paraphrase George Carlin, Nzi German may have lost World War 2 but, make no mistake about it, Fascism won.

Moral and ethical agreements. It's slowly secured itself a place since religion has lost its grip on many people however it has, in my opinion, been quite slow.

The Dark Ages was the start, mind you, and WWII was war. Consider how far we've gotten and how quickly our technology is ramping up. Compare that to the slow growth of morality... it's not a pretty sight. :<

Given the start date that's debatable then. I tend to think of myself as part of Generation X.

[backhands Highfire upside his head] There's your enlightenment you whipper snapper! That's another thing this younger generation is far more violent then the past ones!
