It seems to me that, during my short time here on the forums, the majority of the AG Community is Atheist. Is this just me, or is there truth to my thoughts?

I'm just coming into this discussion so I don't really want to trace back to the reason we are talking about unicorns but there are 5 times i think that unicorns appear in the bible and all them are easy mistranslations of ram.

1. Reading fail is fail

2. You couldn't ask him. He's dead. *bleak look*.

And yet, we find that life can start on it's own.

How's that?
If god wanted to, he could instantly prove to everyone that he is real.

Does your teacher read you the answers to a test before he gives them?
He could at the very least make his own "holy text" non contradictory.

Of course he could. But the erroneous humans who wrote it for him? I think not.

By your own reasoning, shouldn't EVERYTHING point to that there is a god?

Why, it does Kasic. What on earth (pun intended) could have happened without I.D.? I mean honestly, what of the law of conservation of matter?

There is no unicorn bible and no unicorn that was send from unicorn land to save us and bring us to pure happiness forever

But there's all those stories about unicorns. How else would people have thought of them, if not someone had seen them at some time. And I must say, there are some pretty magical unicorns out there.

So your saying because there is a book that says God exists you believe he does? This would be no better then believing Harry Potter, or Gandalf really exists because they exist in books. Also unicorns are in the Bible.

Also unicorns are in the Bible.

you haven't received an explanation for that? No, no, if you look and the etymology and root of the pre-translated word, you come to realize what it meant is a one-horned species of rhinoceros. For your enjoyment. I find his voice quite charming.

Fellow Christians, from past experience this argument leads nowhere. Both sides are biased, either you want to believe in something or you don't. Both sides will fail to realise the other's point of reasoning. This thread has traveled beyond its main topic of the "Athiesm Majority", so ending the debate now and discussing on a different thread before insults break out would be a good idea.

Fellow (or not so) Athiests, please do understand that if you don't want to listen to subjects about God or the Bible, you do not need to post in this section of the forums. Rather, if you have serious questions with need of higher knowledge, seek a pastor or priest.

I just want to know why a theist follows one religion when other religions have many "signs" proving that theirs is the correct religion as well. How do you argue against them?

Arguing against a comittited athiest or christian is next to impossible if your goal is to try and convince them that you are right.

I would say that many people are raised with the knowledge of their parents understanding, so a bias is formed, creating a rejection of all other religions. Yet for some, it is the misunderstanding of a religion that causes them to deny it.

Fellow Christians

Why does it have to be Christians?

You missed a part.

In this topic, I am not trying to support or demeanor either a christian or a theist, I am merely hoping that both sides will see the uselessness to this discussion.

It's not that hard to understand. Why does someone follow a certain religion? Other religions claim to have signs that their religion is also the correct religion to follow. Since they say that they are right, why do you not follow them?

I'm just wondering if your saying only Christians or just religious men in general.

Why does someone follow a certain religion? Other religions claim to have signs that their religion is also the correct religion to follow. Since they say that they are right, why do you not follow them?

In the past it was because they were killing people who wouldn't convert but throughout time it was because that religions was the first one introduced to them or the one that makes the most sense.
